Jerry Jones talks about the playoffs

Mr. Scot

Back when we played them in the 2003 playoffs, the network (ABC, maybe) had prepared a puff piece interviewing Jerry Jones about what led him to hire Bill Parcells.  Ya gotta figure that was done in expectation of the Cowboys manhandling us.

Of course, that didn't happen, but they still decided to show the bit.  Al Michaels introduced it late in the third, with a "kinda dumb but I guess we gotta show this anyway" tone in his voice.  It was thoroughly out of place and made them look foolish, juxtaposing a smiling Jerry Jones talking about how great Bill parcells was while his team was getting beaten badly on the field

Gotta admit, that's one of my funniest playoff memories.

Jerry's mouth is the size of Texas. Why doesn't he use this extra time to just focus on his team rather then talking about the playoffs system and maybe his team will actually make it next year.

Then again, perhaps he's found this is the only way his team will ever make playoffs again - at least while he's running the circus that is the Dallas Cowboys franchise.

jerruh fired landry mainly because when he bought the team, he wanted to be the face of the franchise...not some old frowning guy in a hat.

he's always thought he was better and smarter than anyone because he earned all that money and bought all that stuff. i'm sure he blames everyone else for it not being proven already.
