Hypothetical....imagine we were traveling to Green Bay this weekend....

All I know is I would not miss it. I wonder if camera gear freezes up at -20

I do not know about cameras but you gonads will be like frozen meatballs.

I realize the NFL does not have a cutoff on temperature but having worked in cold weather in the military I can tell you with the wind chill some people/players and staff are going to have some weather related injuries. I am actually concerned.

How would we match up against Green Bay in those elements?

I think we would have been playing all our guys, even with borderline health statuses like Smitty. The cold elements wouldn't bother me as much, seeing we are not a dome team. I think the Def would hold its own, and the Off would score enough against GB's weak def to win.

Hypothetically Panthers 17 Green Bay 13

I know some of you will get butt hurt over this thread, but it's a bye week, so play along or get out!

I dearly love the Panthers but there is no way I could sit through the game this weekend at Green Bay.I really feel for the Niners and Packers fans and the player that will have to play in that frigid element. Playing in that type weather will have an adverse and probably soften the winner up for next weeks playoff game.

while i was stationed at ki sawyer air force base in the upper peninsula, we used to have to operate in wind chills of -80.

as insane as it is, there are ways to deal with it as a player...as a fan, it's not a good idea to just be sitting.

Overall, the Panthers would be fine. Carolina is not as ravaged by injuries and the team as a whole has more talent than the Packers.

Smith's knee injury, however, would be aggravated by the cold. Injured PCL's are nasty in the cold... I can hardly walk when the temperature gets down to around zero.

Fans should put Heet in their gas tanks, bundle up and go nuts in this scenario :D
