8. How many Hall of Famers played for the Panthers?  One

 

9. Which player has the longest interception return in team history?   Captain?

11. In the final game of the 1999 season, the Panthers were desperately trying to run up the score against their opponent to match Green Bay in the points scored tiebreaker (since eliminated). Who was the coach and quarterback of the team they ran it up against?  Ditka and Delhomme

#9 has to be Peppers. I think he intercepted it about 5 yards deep in the end zone and ran it back to the 1. He was so exhausted that he never really recovered or did much the rest of the game.

 

Yea, I remember that.  Pretty sure they were playing in Denver because they attributed his collapse to the altitude.

Greatest player that Panthers fans of today seem to have forgotten or are just plain unaware of is Michael Bates. He's arguably the second best return guy in the history of the league behind Devin Hester. Even better than Steve Smith when he was doing it. Former Olympic bronze medalist for track and field.
