NFL to consider re-seeding playoffs

I like it how it is with the winner of each division hosting but wouldn't be opposed to what they're saying.

But...if they want to expand and avoid a 10-6 not getting in with an 8-7-1 making it, I think an easy solution would be:

3 wildcards. The two wildcards with the worst record have a play-in game to the Wildcard round.  NFL Network can even host it so they can be all corny and sh*t and add another game $$$$

1-Bye

2-Bye

3 v (Winner of 6 v 7)

4 v 5

Stupid idea. Changing it would water down the divisional aspect of the season which is one of the better aspects of the game. Don't migrate towards the fuging NBA where divisions and rivalries barely matter.

+1 for the current system.

Rivalries don't exist in the NBA because there's 82 games. Yall get way too caught up in winning a meaningless division when ya only care should be Superbowl. Winning a division is more important that that though

They should have done that years ago. All 8 division winners get an automatic playoff bid. 4 wildcard teams get in. Seeding goes off of record, except ties go to division winners, no tiebreaker nonsense. 10-6 division winner gets home game over 10-6 wildcard team, etc.

Perfect.

You are going to need more tiebreakers if there are no conferences.

Totally agree with this one.  Allow division winners to get into the playoffs but not have home field over a team that has a better season based on record.  I mean you're telling me GB is the better team over San Fran?  GB lucked out that their division was horrible and no one wanted to win it.  KEEP POUNDING!
