Things that would make me miss the Panthers playing in the Superbowl:

 

  1. A life or death situation with my wife, kids, few nieces and nephews and a couple of aunts (those not mentioned are sol)
  2. A once in a lifetime opportunity to make lots of money.  Yes and I mean lots.  A few grand wouldn't cut it.
  3. A threesome with Halle Berry, Nia Long and myself.
  4. Death
  5. The end of the world.

 

 

Great Post......................#4 and #5 would factor in for me.

 

The only other one would be that I have to claim a power ball winning ticket on that date or lose the money.

 

You can do a cheap version of #3 with the Internet, a towel and some imgination during the SB half time and still watch the whole game.

the plans aren't crazy, it's that I can't reschedule - we're locked on that date/time with other people with a $$ committment for all involved.   Was just one of those things that if I had thought it all the way through say, in September, it wouldn't be a problem today.  We'd have just said "hey, all these other dates are fine, but that one in February?  Just can't do that one..."

 

is it an orgy? swingers weekend? ehh?...if they aren't crazy or private or whatever...then just tell us what it is. There are tvs everywhere. I assume you are not leaving the country or going somewhere where the superbowl won't be on tv or where there are no TVs. You could just watch it while you are there. This is stupid. I wouldn't let poo like this get in my way of the superbowl even if the Panthers weren't playing in it.

technically, wouldn't this be a foursome?  You shouldn't be counting yourself, unless you're taking matters into your own hands while Halle and Nia ignore you completely -- which, to be honest, is more likely to be the case for the entire session.  'cause really, have you looked in the mirror lately?  Would you blame them?

1. Nope pretty sure it's a threesome.  You might be confused because your threesome is 2 guys and yourself.

2. I am pretty sure when it's all hanging out so to speak there will be no complaints.

3. I look ok.  I am sure their options are much better but if I do say so myself I'm not ugly.  Of course that my opinion.

4. It's my fantasy so..................

      Seriously? A CB who missed all that time on his rookie deal and was also a top 10 pick when the guys picked right before and after have been studs. A RB our GMs tried to replace with FAs and 2nd rounders and two backup level players is one of the best drafts we’ve ever had? I’d argue that the 2011/2012 drafts were better even with just Cam and Luke/Norman. Here’s the drafts I think were better: 2017, maybe 2018, 2015, 2013, 2011, 2012, 2008, 2007, 2001, 2002 (just Pepp) I’m hoping 2025 is way better as well. Honestly, we’ve kind of sucked at drafting overall and that’s the only reason you can even remotely call Horn, Hubbard, Tremble and BC a good draft let alone one of our best ever. Good teams that draft well would laugh at that as a great draft. If you want to look at say the 2023 Lions draft, you’d get 4 stud/above average/average starters not just 3 replaceable starters/backups and a top 10 pick that missed half his games. That’s a draft that helps turn a team into a playoff team. Our record since our 2021 draft is 19-49. A best ever draft doesn’t go 19-49.

      Bingo. You can't pay that type of player elite franchise QB money. That average starter type player can excel when he's surrounded by top shelf talent in a great offensive system but pay him elite QB money and you're going to really struggle to surround him with the type of talent you need to carry him. You pay those elite franchise QBs because they can carry your roster. You can't pay guys who have to be carried. Bryce showed glimpses down the stretch last year. I really hope he keeps building on that. But before we back up the Brinks truck he needs to show that he's the type of QB who can lift up and carry the offense because when you pay those guys that's what they're gonna have to do.
