This exchange occurred in the Virginia State Senate's annual Super Bowl Party.

“It should be an enjoyable evening,” he said, after an announcement about the casual dress code for the event. “Unfortunately I don’t see the Redskins in the mix… maybe not next year or for a long, long time.”

Senate Democratic Leader Dick Saslaw (35th District) then jokingly weighed in, asking if Wagner cared on comment “on the fact that both Denver and Seattle come from the only two states in America that have legalized marijuana.”

“If we did that in Virginia, would that fix the Redskins’ problems?” he went on to inquire.

After laughter echoed through the Capitol building, Wagner stood up to address the room again and delivered a dagger.

“I don’t think there’s enough drugs in the world to fix that problem,” he said.

Oh, Cleveland - after not getting the MIA job, the Browns have made Ray Farmer their GM. Michael Lombardi is now out and CEO Joe Banner will also be leaving. Another fun Brown wrinkle. Farmer wasn't part of the Pettine interview. Also the Browns also had a secret interview with Wisconsin HC Gary Andersen.
