Quarterbacks will get big contracts as long as there are not enough of them for every team to have a franchise guy. All one team has to do is not pay them and they will simply go to someone else in need.  Anyone think Jacksonville or Houston would pick a guy like Flacco if he were available.

Fun (or not so fun, depending on your perspective) fact: Panther CB Josh Thomas was drafted eleven picks before Richard Sherman.

Mind you, not by us.  Thomas was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys at pick # 143 (fifth round).  Sherman was selected at pick #154 by Seattle.

Sadly, that particular piece of trivia doesn't get us off the hook,  seeing as we spent our top pick in the fourth round on CB Brandon Hogan and the first pick in the fifth on WR Kealoha Pilares :(

I was being sarcastic

I think they're just trying to look like they didn't make a huge mistake by letting Rob Ryan go and hiring Kiffin.

^Exactly this. They did the same thing bringing in Scott Linehan as passing game coordinator/offensive playcaller ("replacing" current offensive coordinator Bill Callahan, who "replaced" Jason Garrett - both of whom are currently on staff, go figure). Jerry Jones is singlehandedly turning that franchise into a laughingstock.

I have a friend who's been a Cowboy fan since way back in the Tom Landry days.  I couldn't give you his opinion on Jerry Jones without falling victim to the forum language filters.

Britt was a guess, I was thinking maybe Nate Washington - seemed to remember some griping from him. Also given his history, Bernard Pollard being among the six wouldn't be a shocker.

Pollard makes sense.  Washington too.
