The Bucs have hired Cardinals Director of Player Personnel Jason Licht as their GM.

Licht spent most of his career working for either the Patriots or the Eagles. He was a scout with the Panthers for one season (1998).

The Dolphins GM job is still unsettled, but it looks like Marc Ross won't be a candidate. Another year and Ross gets shut out yet again.

I'd love to have Gettleman offer him a job as Director of Player Personnel here. Maybe even give him the title of Assistant GM and make him an 'heir apparent'. Heck, it could be a good time to lure a few scouts or other staff types out of New York after the disaster they had last year.

I think that would be a damn good move.

Patriots are losing longtime coach Dante Scarnecchia to retirement.  Scarnecchia has long been considered one of the best OL coaches in the league.  He was with the Patriots for the past 30 years.

They're replacing him with Dave DeGuglielmo, the former Jets OL Coach who took a job with the University of Maryland just six days ago.

Mike Munchak is heading to PIT to be the Steelers new OL coach.

Also in the CLE HC search - there's a new mystery candidate that the team met with in Florida (Jimbo Fisher?)

EDIT: nevermind, it's Greg Schiano .... just when you think this Browns coaching search can't get any weirder

The Atlanta Falcons have hired Scott Pioli as assistant general manager, reuniting him with GM Thomas Dimitroff.

Pioli was director of player personnel for the New England Patriots from 2000-08, including six seasons with Dimitroff, who directed college scouting. He was the Kansas City Chiefs' general manager for four years before leaving by mutual agreement in January 2013.

.

Pioli began his NFL career in 1992, when he was hired by Bill Belichick as a scouting assistant for the Cleveland Browns. Pioli was made the New York Jets' director of pro personnel in 1997 before joining Belichick in New England.

Dimitroff says Pioli is "one of the most respected and adept talent evaluators in the NFL
