Question....if its the Eagles..how do we prepare for that up tempo offense?

practice saying, "thank you for getting the ball back to us quicker" and then figure out ways to occupy more clock, keeping their D on the field and stressed while our defense keeps coming to the field rested knowing that they will only have to be on the field 2-3 minutes at a time.

seriously, i'm not worried about that aspect.

i think the story will be the same this game as it has been for much of the second half of this season. we start off slow. the other team's offense looks like it's clicking even though they can only manage a FG or two. meanwhile, our offense looks rough coming out of the gate and cam is hyped up and needs to be settled down.

then the defense gets the other team's offense figured out and starts controlling them while cam and the boys find their groove and starts getting into the endzone after 8 minute long possessions.

Its not like we have not faced two up tempo teams this year.

Right the Patriots and Saints both run very fast offenses. Our D held up well against New England and Saints once. Both teams run a lot of screens also. Our guys should be ok. Our D stopped Brady in the 2 minute drill with the game on the line...fug Nick Foles.

I was just telling my brother the same thing. We start off slow,  our D bends but holds the other team to FG's. We score a FG or 2 eating up the clock. Defense locks down, forces a 3 and out or a turnover. We finally score a TD right before half time(usually hurry up) going in 10-6 or 13-9. Come out second half score another TD. Defense pins ears back, sacks and harasses QB into mistakes and stalled drives....I swear the last few weeks have seemed like they're scripted. The only difference was in the middle of the season our offense did more to put teams away and the last few we've just held on or kept it close enough for Cam to pull the win out.

I am torn on which matchup I want. Both Packers and Eagles offenses are scarier because of our secondary BUT our offense will score easier on them than the Niners(which like Seattle will just be  defensive slugfest to see which team flinches first).

If our guys come out like they did vs New England on that Monday Night it won't matter, we will beat any of them at home.

Was not really thinking about the Saint but more the Bills. Really teams have been doing this too us all year because of our D and trying to wear it down.

"I remember back in the preseason"...............stops reading

I also remember in the preseason how our defense and Keuchly in particular completely dismantled the Super Bowl champions and how excited and optimistic we were about this D.  Some things hold true.

As a big Chip Kelly fan at Oregon, the thing that has always given his offense problems is penetration from the D-Line, but really, what offense doesn't struggle from that? Thats why we are so successful on D, our D-Line is too overwhelming for the opposing team's offense. Secondly, man to man against their WRs has killed them this year as they love to run playaction with crossing or mesh routes and they can't seem to beat it. It really doesn't matter anyways if we can't stop the run (which we can) against this team.
