Newton postgame (Saints) with Sal Paolantonio

That is funny.

TBH though, I still don't understand the towel thing.

Is it a habit, cold head, fashion statement?

Maybe I'm just too old.

Michael Jordan did it (and many other star basketball players too).  Cam has stated that's why he started doing it when he was younger, and he still does it today.

Pretty much that simple.

As far as what it does for his head?  Who the hell knows.  Probably nothing.  Or maybe it helps him to shut out all the distractions around him when he's on the sidelines and focus on the game.

Gotcha...seems strange that you would come off of a football field, and put a towel on your head....especially in Charlotte in the first half of the season.

I can remember how hot I was every time I was on the sideline.

i kind of viewed the towel thing just like someone wearing a hat, even on the sidelines regardless of weather. it's just something you get used to doing for some reason. it was never the big deal people made it out to be. it's just a different thing to put on. probably more practical than a baseball cap if you thnk about it.
