Great NFL AM Interview w/ Olsen

pretty much said the outside criticisms of Cam were flat out wrong. emphatically said he was the same guy he was when he first came here. And that people like to nitpick because of the kind of guy Cam is and the level of success he had previously. said Cam has not changed in the way he prepares, his leadership qualities and being a teammate.

said he loved playing for lovie smith.  Sad to see him in this division because he's a good coach but was excited about the opportunity to play against him 2 times a year.

said the something is happening in charlotte, a lot of buzz about this team. said this organization is top notch. players get treated professionally but also really well.

said he thought chud deserved more time in cleveland since it looked like they were setting up for the future this year.

And later on in another NFL segment Eric Davis picked his top 5 NFL teams:

5. NO

4. DEN

3. NE

2. SF

1. SEA

So, an ex-Panther gives no love to his former team, which went 3-1 against his "best" teams. That one being only a 4 point loss IIRC. BOGUS! Lost a lil respect for Davis there. Usually he's an alright commentator.

Great interview.  Thanks for the link. Love Greg.  Also, noticed when they were playing the clip of his TD catch last week....Cam threw a perfect pass...stepped in to the throw.  If he can do that, accuracy is no issue.  Also nice catch by Greg....that ball was hot!

Pretty much what you posted was what he said verbatim

But...Let's not forget the other guy got rid of NE and replaced them with the Panthers. Sometimes, you have to look past the negative and see the reality. The Panthers  have never been a chosen team but that doesn't mean they are not a viable team.

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
