I said that back in the preseason and nobody bought into it. A lot of people do now.

I thought foles was trash at the beginning of the year, but you can't argue with the numbers he has this year. At some point it's not a fluke anymore.

You can't argue Foles season. It's very impressive. He is aided by one of the most dynamic RBs in the league. For me and Eagles/Panthers game comes down to which young QB delivers on the giant stage. Cam has been a little shaky this past month. Hopefully the weight of expectations doesn't get him. Hopefully he's not thinking about all those haters going back to the draft and how they criticize him every chance they get. He needs a clear mind.

That's no excuse for them being assholes. Working class fans from the northeast are assholes. Period. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I saw enough at my first Panthers game (Ravens 2010) to know.

There's no excuse for going into other peoples' places and being disrespectful. It's bad enough that they mistreat opposing fans that buy a ticket in their god forsaken sh!tty towns.

I can confirm RoaringRiot's report as I also live in south jersey. And half my buds from NY are also igglez fans as well. All of them think Panthers are gonna be too easy haha.

Doubt we even find out about Philly. Even though I don't want to see NO go to Seattle (because it basically guarantees the NFCC game there)....I really do think Brees and co exercises the road demons and beats Philly by double digits.

NO defense is better than Philly...as is their offense.

I didn't say people, I said fans. If you don't notice a difference in the atmosphere in BOA and that of say, Veterans Stadium, then I don't know what to tell you.

To be fair, if all you went by was the offense in the last few games, there'd be at least some basis for doubt.

I'm a panthers fan to the core and I'm going to say what I wouldn't say around non panther fans. Yes we beat Brees and Brady at home but let's not act like we dominated them. Tom Brady moved the ball at will and we needed a last minute drive and controversial call to beat them. If the football gods don't send that flood, I'm not sure if we pull out that game against the saints. In order words things fell our way at the right time. We can't keeping skating by.

Are you gonna be that guy? The contrarian that finds the exception to every statement and argues like the devil's advocate? I have family in Jersey, people up north are assholes and they know it. It's a different culture. They tell each other to "go fawk yaself" but it's a brotherhood of shared misery. Down here we tell each other "bless your heart" and it might as well be an insult. In every stereotype there is a lot of truth.

I can say I have been to Veterans stadium. They have played at Lincoln Financial Stadium since 2001 and the atmosphere is different.  Their fans are more rowdy and they let folks take off their shirts and do things that are not allowed in the family friendly BOA.  But that doesn't make them bad fans or assholes as a group although there surely are some.  If your experiences were at Veterans stadium  then you are talking about something that happened over a decade ago.

When people try to castigate a region of people as all assholes then sure I will be a contrarian.  I know literally hundreds of folks from around Philly and most are great and wonderful.  I have family in New Jersey and in Pennsylvania who are salt of the earth.  So no I find characterizations of people in the north to be as ridiculous as all the stereotypes about the South.  I don't find a lot of truth in most stereotypes.

Too bad their team won't feel the same way as they prepare.  I suspect their fans are looking at how they beat us in the preseason without considering how far we have come over the course of the season.
