Who cares when it was, it was embarrassing. And yes it was the first game of the 2009 season after our team had just finished as the #2 seed the previous year.

Lol If you're terrified of the eagles RR I'll more than happily relieve you of your ticket

This is exactly why I want Philly. They actually believe their offense would blow away our defense and that Cam (a lesser version of McNabb) couldn't keep up with Foles.

Talk about delusional. These cocky idiots hail from the NFC East -- where at one point Dallas and New York held control of the division.

Cam doesn't have the weapons and mad scientist that Foles has

Eagles were 1-3 (losses to Chargers, Broncos and Chiefs) against playoff teams this year with their only win against a Green Bay team that did not have Rodgers. They really do not have any quality wins. I wouldn't look past Saints if I was an Eagles fan. Arguably this is their toughest opponent besides Broncos all year which they lost by 32 points.

The Panthers were 3-2 against playoff teams (split with Saints, lost to Seahawks, beat Pats and 49ers).

Your forgetting those loess came with Vick not Foles.

Most people think just because carolina "with a shitty offense" beat saints because we are lucky.  Sure we are lucky enough to beat 49'ers, Rams (Im not sure why people dont respect their defense), Tampa (MY GOD).  Saints are TOUGH as f#4ck to beat especially when you show up lagged out. They are no joke and whoever underestimates them pays. We paid for it on that sunday. 

 

Philly will get Torn apart by the saints. Chip kelly is good at being chip and Coles is well learning and probably will be great but these are the playoffs. ID HATE TO GET CAM IN THE PLAYOFFS. Most people dont understand the motivations behind that young man. He wants to be an Icon and Entertainer - Cam will will Carolina single handedly if he has to.

I lived in south Jersey, right outside of Philly for 3 years right after college.  My best friend from college is from there, still lives there, and is a huge Eagles fan.  I spoke to him this morning abut their game against the Saints and how cool it would be if they win so that he can come down to Charlotte and watch the game with me next weekend.  

 

Even though I already knew the answer because I lived up there and know how those fans are, I asked him what all the Ealges fans were saying about the playoffs.  He said everyone up there (excluding him because he follows the Panthers because of me) is saying that if they can get past the Saints and SF wins that the Eagles will have a cakewalk against the Panthers and possibly host the NFCC game.  He said we are getting zero respect from the Eagles fans, and that they are all planning on coming down to Charlotte in HUGE numbers if they beat the Saints.  

 

I swear to God.....if we let them take over our city and stadium like they did last time they played here when they brought 8 bus loads of fans down, yes 8 BUS LOADS, I am going to lose my poo.  

 

I want the Eagles not only because I want SF to go to Seattle, I want to beat the piss out of those cocky fans and give them 9 hours of driving up 95 to think about it.  

 

Let's think about this.....................the tickets for the Panther divisional round are all sold out right?

 

What Philly fan in their right mind would have bought any Panther tickets before they even know what is going to happen?

 

I guess they could attempt to purchase them at inflated prices from scalpers..........but really, how are they going to be here in mass if the tickets are long gone or in the hands of some wheel and deal broker?

 

If I'm wrong about this please explain.........thanks!

I was talking to a Philly fan co-worker about football and the playoffs. He had the sane mentality. He stated that Cam was a one trick pony who can only run ala RG3. I was astounded by his stupidity. He then states, in complete seriousness, that Riley Cooper was elite and one of the best WRs in the league. At that point I turned around and walked away.

There is an organization in Philly similar to our group (but much larger) that goes to all of the Eagles away games.  They travel in huge numbers.  They took 2500 people to Miami last year.  They took 300 people to New Orleans a few years ago where it is impossible to get group tickets.  They travel, they spend the money, the know how to get tickets.  

 

However, I wasn't talking about the game as much as I was talking about how many of them were downtown when we played them.  They completely owned all of the bars in downtown the whole weekend before the game.  That is what I am referring to.  I don't want those guys coming in here and posting up in downtown, unopposed, and like they own the place.

You guys are naive if you think Eagles fans won't pay the prices on Ticketmaster and Stub Hub. Panthers fans are waiting for them to drop, The Eagles will look at them as cheap. $150 a head for playoffs is not that bad. There are really nice seats under 300 too. If the Eagles come to Charlotte it will be of the euphoria of a playoff win. They will pony up.
