Wild Card Weekend Predictions

I think the Colts will beat KC.  KC is slipping while the Colts are making a push.

Bengals and Chargers.  I think this time the Chargers will win but who knows which teams shows up for these guys.

SF and Green Bay.  I think SF will have the better defense and ultimately win in a close one.

Eagles and Saints- Eagles are going to win as New Orleans gets their own medicine and is nickled and dimed to death all day.

KC beat one quality opponent on their schedule. Their 2-5 slip the last 7 games is directly attributed to the fact that they faced 5 good teams. I expect them to be an early out, and for Alex Smith to continue bitching that he's a winner and doesn't get as much credit as more talented QBs until Andy Reid replaces him with a 2nd round pick from Valdosta State that somehow outperforms him as a rookie.

I wish the Eagles would beat the Saints but lets be real, the Eagles have had a ridiculously cupcake schedule all year. I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose by 14+ to the Saints. Yeah Saints suck on the road, but at least they have played some pretty good teams for the most part on the road. Eagles only beat 1 playoff team, who was missing their superstar QB. They are set up to get exposed, hard.

Not that they aren't a decent team. But they aren't close to Saints level. Brees is gonna score on that D at will...

Anyone picking the Saints over the Eagles are just trying to be edgy. The Saints road woes aren't imaginary. Theres something to it. Their ZERO wins on the road in the playoffs, are not imaginary. They're two WHOLLY different teams in that pisshole dome compared to the road and in the elements. Look no further than our matchup with them and try and argue that point. I'll save you some trouble, you cant.

Im not saying the Saints cant go into Philly and steal one, im saying based on what that team has done throughout its history and recently, there is NOTHING that would put one to hedge their bets on the Swamp Rats of NO. Nothing.

Even NO fans are pissing in their depends. This is the EXACT scenario they didnt want. They absolutely did not want to start off their playoff run in freezing temps. Hell i don't even think they want to win. No way in hell they want to go back to Seattle and get beat down again. Saints fans aren't us, they are dreading a rematch with Seattle, where as the thought of a rematch with Seattle has us salivating.

Here is what I can say - I believe the Saints can beat the Eagles, and I can guarantee you that Saints fans are not scared to go and play Seattle again - I AM NOT guaranteeing a win or anything so calm down - what I can tell you is that if the Saints play Seattle again - it will be a much different contest -   you cannot believe that the Saints get embarrassed like that again, can you?  Obviously, Saints have to be Philly first, I say its a close game - if no snow - Saints take it in a close one - Brees vs the worst pass defense in the league is a bigger disadvantage than Saints D (I believe #4 overall) defending Foles and Philly.

What effect will the temperatures have on the game in Green Bay?

Hi temps for the day are now still supposed to be below zero. -5 is the projected high at the moment.

I doubt the passing game for either team will mean squat.

running game and run defense should rule the day.  I would hate to have to kick the football, it will be like kicking a pumpkin or something.

I completely agree biscuit... I just keep reading that SF is the only team that can go into Seatlle and win. Wanted to know & knew youd give a non-Homer answer...

This is the playoffs, every team is a contender at this point. I think we can beat anybody, but I this our chances against SF are smaller than vs anybody else...

I've been over at the Hawks forum and like every other team in the playoffs they are worried if the "good team" will show up on game day............

I know you guys don't like the saints but they are a better team than Philly not to mention they've been here before.

Saints over Philly 34-17

San Francisco has won the last two but that was on the west coast. In the Tundra with a healthy Aaron Rodgers give me the Pack.

Packers survive at home over San Francisco 31-27

If this game was played in San Diego I'd give the chargers a chance, but Cincy has been pretty dominate at home lately

Bengals over Chargers 38-17

After Luck's showing in the playoffs last year I'm going to have to go with the Chiefs in this one.

24-10 Chiefs

As much as I want the Saints to lose, your predictions seem along the lines of my thought pattern. Something tells me the Saint will pull out a win if the weather isn't ridiculously cold.

Part of me believe Rodgers will suffer the same fate as Cutler, believing he had something to prove and winning the first game since coming back but faulted after.

I would love for there to be a shocker in the AFC where both the Chiefs and Chargers pull off wins.

Seems most folks are down on the Saints because they haven't won a road playoff game ever but are picking Cincinnati.  Anyone know what the Bengals playoff record is under Lewis and when was last time Cincinnati won a playoff game?

0-4 under Lewis

Last playoff win- 1991
