Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch are currently the best duo in the NFL imho.  It's a shame the Panthers haven't gotten assigned to them much this year.  They are moving up the ranks fast.  I expect they will be Fox's #1 crew in a few years time.  They already got added to the playoffs even though they weren't suppose to be assigned because they are so good.

I remember Cosell when I was a kid. He was great. I can close my eyes and hear him calling one of our games in my head in that unmistakable voice, using five dollar words that the average Joe had no clue what it meant......"Tonight the Melanistic Leopards from the Carolinas face the Birds of Prey from the city of brotherly love, in a titanic struggle of wills to see who advances" Cosell....what a character!

i never really notice commentators... i don't really hate or love anyone. the only guy i can think of that's ever stood out to me as unlistenable was that time they tried to put torrey holt in the booth

I used to be almost okay with Phil Simms, but after watching him on Inside the NFL on Showtime and trying to watch that Monday QB show with Adam Schein, the more I see him as a self-absorbed, arrogant ass-nozzle. 

 

Brian Billick is truly one of the smarter guys out there and I find myself listening more to what he has to say.

I actually like Gruden as a commentator, but how on earth isn't his nonsensicle rating off the chart?  Something funny you can try with him:  Close your eyes while he's talking and you'll realize he's piss drunk.

I can dig me some Bilick, he definitely does the best play break downs due to his coaching background.

 

I feel everyone rated between Bilick and Siragusa is pretty solid.  Have no issues with any of them.

 

I don't think Ronde is that good, sure he hits these stats well but he is just a poor presenter (stutters).

 

Surprisingly I think Troy Aikman might be my favorite commentator.  Generally seems the least biased (even during Cowboy games) and is insightful.  Unfortunately he's paired with Joe Buck who I absolutely loathe.

simms is the best. the rest can talk a long walk off a short pier. they could cut to them, and it be 2 broom sticks, and the games would be better.
