Williams' rare plays keep his ypc respectable.

Would you prefer a RB that gets 4 yards 4 times or a RB that gets 0 3 times 16 once? Both are 4 yard per carry RBs. That is basically the difference between Williams and the other 2. In this offense we should be running Tolbert or Stewart. Williams needs to be the 3rd down and recieving RB

I wasn't impressed with Stewart carrying the football when he came back. Deangelo is a home run threat you know at any given moment he might break one. Everything Stew can do at this point Tolbert can do just as well if not better.

And Tolbert is average 3.6 yards per carry. Point? Jones-Drew is averaging 3.4 while we're at it too. 

 

At this endeavor, the power running game has been saving our butts (along with Cam's scrambles) and that's mostly thanks to Mike.

Thats because of Tolbert's goal line and 3rd and 1 carries. And who the fug is Jones-Drew at this point. Look I like Stew, at one point i thought he was our best all around back. When I see him run now he looks like he's lost a few steps.

It doesn't matter who it is. They need to hit the hole like they mean it. I am tired of watching our running backs run to the line of scrimmage and get no penetration.

That is bc 3-4 yards isn't impressive. It is boring.

Williams may be a home run threat.....he also is a threat to do virtually nothing on ever handoff unless the OL magically creates room for him.

28 played in 6 games. Williams maybe looked better in 2 at most.

Tolbert should be our rusher regardless. If 28 is healthy, he should get some of 34s rushing reps. Williams needs to be slanted more to the passing game bc that is the most consistent way to get him into space. Ball control power offense implodes with Williams' miss, miss, miss, hit play

Don't like what the organization is paying, but I love both backs, and I hope both are healthy and able to contribute. They are both Panthers.

I don't get the 28 hate when Williams rarely does anything. Yes, when he finally does something it is usually awesome. The other plays really kill and hurt our ball control O. We need those 3 yard type consistantly runs badly

at this point it's the o-line throw in the fact that teams stacked the box and voila running game stuffed, our guys did pretty decent and ran good when holes were available, if stew comes back put him in on pass plays leave the running to d will and tolbert for now

That could work but changing the pace does have it's benefits even when we don't amass much yardage.

Of course if you have a guy who is nicked or winded you have to change out. But with both guys healthy and strong you have to find a way to see who's hot. But I agree. It won't work In all situations. This ain't madden.

Tolbert deserves the snaps on pass and run plays before Stew in the playoffs. In fact, Tolbert is our x-factor on offense

cause he's been lucky enough to remain healthy, he deserves the snaps?

If stewart is healthy and ready, he plays. It's simple.

I don't understand the hate towards players that get hurt. It's the NFL. EVERYONE GETS HURT AT SOMEPOINT.

If Stewart is ready to go,by all means see that he gets some reps. I like the ability he has to break tackles and turn a short pass into a long gain.
