Seattle - This will be no surprise, the DeAngelo fumble in route to the endzone at the end of the game was the biggest play.

 

Buffalo - 4th and 1 with 1:42 remaining, Ron decides to kick the FG and put it on the defense's shoulders. It end up biting him and changing his thought process the rest of the year.

 

Giants - Cam 3 yd TD run in the 3rd Qtr- Cam let's out a earth shattering yell that tells everyone who doubted him to STFU

 

Arizona - Cam sacked in the endzone for a Saftey in the 3rd Qtr. Everything was going wrong that day, including 3 INTs but the Saftey was just the insult to injury and it became obvious this just wasn't our day.

 

Minnesota - LaFell 79yd TD catch with an amazing block by Ginn to seal the deal.

 

St. Louis - Smitty's 19 yd TD catch in the 3rd Qtr where he pointed back to Jenkins. This put the game well in hand and the defense finished up nicely.

 

Tampa - This one was tough, but im going to go with Cam throwing on the sidelines and Byers running under him and hurting Cam's hand. I dunno, or maybe Cam shaking off a D-lineman and throwing to a wide open Olsen for a TD in the 1st half. I really wasn't much of a game.

 

Atlanta - Drayton Florence 38yd pick 6 from Ryan in the 4th quarter sealed the deal.

 

San Fran - After missing a make-able FG early in the game- Gano comes in (cold-blooded) and knocks a 53 yd FG straight through the uprights to give us a lead in the 4th.

 

New England - hmmmm... I will go with the Ginn TD and not the Luke/flag pickup/controversy

 

Miami - 4th and 10 from our own 20 yd line. Pass caught by Smitty. Moves the chains we go on to score, Riverboat Ron wins.

 

Tampa - Glennon was playing pretty well and we looked like we were in for a fight until he made that silly looking play where he tried to throw it and it just slipped out of his hand for a fumble and we recovered. This was in the 1st half but from that play on- it was over

 

New Orleans - I will just go with the entire 2nd Qtr. NO scored 21pts and really put the game out of reach.

 

Jets - Deangelo's 72 yd TD screen pass was good, but it was early in a slug-fest of a game. The Cap'n Munnerlyn pick 6 at the end was the icing on the cake.

 

New Orleans - The decision to punt by Rivera was great, and WE ALL HATED IT. But he made us all believe and so did Hixon's catch at the end. Still an Amazing feeling!!

 

Atlanta - 9 sacks- pick one.. OR the botched snap at the end caused by the FANS that showed out in ATL!

I would go with the dropped 4th down play in the Arizona game.  If we take that in for a score the rest of the game could have gone totally differently.

 

As for Week 17, I think the pick 6.  D-Will's run was the first sign of life all game and it ended in disaster.  Things were not going well at all at that point.  That play changed all that.

The last ATL game was definitely the pick 6. We had done nothing offensively all day and finally D-WILL breaks one only to flatten the sails seconds later with the fumble.

 

If Matt Ryan goes the length of the field on that drive and puts up points they would've had the game in their hands. Instead, Melvin makes an amazing play and puts us on top with all the momentum.

Kind of. Smitty had an uncovered drop right in the middle of endzone, and then a few drives later LaFell dropped one over the middle on a 4th down. If he had caught it there is a good chance he could have run it in.

Great thread...........

 

I will go with the refusal to go on 4 and 1 during the Buffalo game which would have positioned us to win the game.........that loss threatened the integrity of the whole season and took a deer in the headlight look of a head coach into a Riverboat Ron risk taking approach that was a confidence building experience for both the team, staff and fans.

      I am guessing that Cam Ward goes 1 or 2 and Carter goes 2 or 1. It is possible that Hunter goes third.  That would throw Sanders into the Aaron Rodgers free fall alert status. It seems that the Giants have no choice but to take Sanders--but if they like another QB better--like Dart or Will Howard (I am still predicting that Howard continues to creep up boards) they could trade back and still get Dart or Howard or Ewers. NY fans would probably want  GM Joe Schoen's head, but I sense bust in Sanders.   Personally, I would not take Sanders if I needed a QB.  He projects a vibe that he is entitled--better than he is, and his father would be loud and critical if things went any way but the Sanders way, and he is, according to a few articles I read, pursuing a career in music.  Lotta potential noise there.  As a "common" player in college, I would resent the fact that some players are making millions.  Sanders had a towel with a gold buffa---oops---dollar sign embroidered on it.  Almost reminds me of Brian Bosworth coming out of Oklahoma some 40 years ago--lotta hype, lotta self promotion--bust.  Again, just the vibe I am getting.  I think only a desperate team like one of  the NY franchises will take him early.  Cleveland?  Carter or Hunter, depending on what happens with Garrett there. Someone is going to trade up to get an OT. I see the Titans trading out of the #1 pick if they can get a taker--the Giants come to mind. Not sure what this rambling bit of stream of consciousness proved, but I am going to hit "submit reply" now.

      If we're drafting a RB at #8 overall after both paying Chuba and trading up to draft a RB in the 2nd last year then the entire front office needs to get fired on the spot.

      I'm glad a lot of us already understood this. The pundits are saying that this draft doesn't have a lot of elite players, but is good on depth. Why would anyone trade away a 2nd or 3rd round player to move up and grab a guy who isn't' significantly better than a player who would be available if the team stayed put. I understand moving up if all of a sudden there is a run on a position and team has that pegged as a major need. That's not happening this year with picks 1-7. We need to stay put unless some idiot GM does offer us a 2nd rounder to move down no more than 4-5 spots.
