I know releasing Godfrey would help us more then hurt us. But the way Stewart contract is loaded right now. Wouldn't letting him go hurt us in the long run in dead cap if they did this off season. If so I don't see it happening this year or next.

Yea. Last time i checked, Stewart is going to hurt us more than Dwill. Tho, hes been injury proned and hasnt looked the same.

Lets cross our fingers that the man just retire. ;)

All those fa's and the team is still right on the cap or slightly over it. Lol, tough offseason ahead. Also don't have but one Wr on contract.

Aside from Capt. Hardy and Gross and maybe Lafell will ask for a decent contract to stay and Hardy will want a top 10 pass rush contract. But the rest of the guys I see us resigning most of the guys back on 2-3 deal each. Depending on their age. Most of these guys like Mitchell and Mikel no one really wanted. The only reason these guys are even playing at this level is because of our front seven. If it wasn't for them. They may still be avg like they was when their other teams release them. It ain't like these guys are going to demand big contracts with lots of money. Most of these guys know that if they go to other team. They maybe only back ups at most or even lucky to make the team. These guys will get the picture this team maybe the only way they have a chance a SB win over the next few yeasr. So their choice. Go to another team chance risk and fight maybe a starting spot and decent pay check or risk been a backup and been on a sucky team like they was before they come to Carolina. Trust me when I say a lot of these 1 year will be resigned to another 2 year contracts to give DG and this Panther franchise time to get out of Hurney money mess he put us in.

Better yet how about the man take a page out of TD book and restructure is contract for a whole less money and stay with this team for a much period and have a chance a SB ring this year or in the next few years. I know it want happen. But who knows.

Pretty sure we'll see other guys restructure their comtracts. Hopefully we get help from CJ again.

I really hope so. I mean we have seen guys in the past from other teams that took cuts to help out their team. Tom Brady I believe was one of them that did a time or 2 in his career. I could be wrong. But if this team figures to survive Hurney cap hell for at least a few more years and try to keep Hardy and Newton around for long term and be able build a good oline for Cam. Some guys need to think about the team instead of their pockets. If these guys really care about building this team into a every year SB team. It starts with Vets thinking about the team and not them selves. I know football is a game that end their careers from game to game. But they can at least do somethings to help keep our core guys and keep building around them. Letting Hardy go would show signs of players really not caring about each other and the team and fans. I guess we will see if some of the guys like CJ and Ryan Khail and even Stewart is willing to help their team out long term money wise. Or if they are just greedy more then anything. But on the side of it all. Hardy and Cam can't get greedy when it comes time for them to get their new contracts as well. Ask for what think deserve while not killing the bank just because of your agent or you own greed for the money.

If Stewart somehow survive, hes gonna be taking a huge pay cut.

Im terrified to lose Hardy this season.

That type of talent is rare and we cannot replace that unless we got Clowney.. I think we NEED to pay him as much as he wants. We need him Keek Cam Gano cut lafell. resign gross and wharton if we dont win superbowl

Dude chill. Hardy is not going to walk. We will either give him a long term contract or franchsie tag him. He want be going any where. Besides DG has been dealing with this kind of stuff for years with the Giants. The man has learn from the best and had been the best. DG will get with Hardy and his agent right after the post season and start working on the resigning. Just chill and enjoy the playoffs. Leave it in DG hands. This ain't Hureny we are talking about.

Well we need him  and a few others to redo a contract to give us more money to resign our core guys. I believe it will happen. With CJ only having 3 years left on his contract after this season. I could see DG resigning CJ to and extension in tune of 2-3 extra years with maybe about 5 million or so million in up front money to count a less against the cap the next few years until we get out Hurney mess. This could be one way solving a problem about the cap for this off season.
