Sound Off: Packers, Niners, or Eagles?

I want the Packers to beat the 49ers, and the Eagles to beat N.O. I think the 49ers and Saints have better teams than us, while the Eagles and Packers are not much of a threat. Unfortunately I think the 49ers are going to beat GB, and the Saints are going to blow out the Eagles unless bad weather stops them.

We need to do a better job of getting the ball out of opposing QB's hands. We've had, what, nearly 20 sacks over the last 3-4 games and haven't gotten anybody to cough up the ball? Eagles, Packers. 49er's would play us tough and we don't need any injuries.

Packers with out a doubt. We need a team to go and beat Seatte at home, don't see Packers doing it, but that's just my opinion.

If you want the Packers then you are saying the Saints beat the Eagles...only way we can get the Packers.

And, do you think that the Saints have any chance to beat Seattle on the road?

I really think some of you don 'to understand the seedlings and how they work.

FWIW I'd rather host the Eagles.  I don't think they will be as dynamic against this Panthers D in Charlotte.  I don't think their defense can stop Cam in the 4th quarter.

Don't forget, we will hopefully have Smitty back...so maybe something will also be there in the running game if the receivers can open up the field a little.

SF IMO is the 3rd best team in the NFC and I don't want to have to play them but at least it would be at home.  Defensive struggle likely.  Could favor us though because Cam is better that Colin K.

GB is beatable I think on any field but getting them away from Lambeau would certainly be better.  Rogers is still a great QB.  They have a lot of weapons.  Their defense gives up a lot of yards and points.

Whatever happens...having the NFC Championship game in Charlotte would be amazing. We beat the Eagles.  SF goes up to Seattle and knocks off the Seahawks.  Niners @ Panthers for a Superbowl berth.  Incredible!

Glad someone is on the same page as me. I don't see any other option than what gives us the best shot at the Super Bowl and that option is not who comes to Charlotte, rather who goes to Seattle and can win. That answer is the 9ers.

And before someone jumps in with one of those "I'm not scared to play anyone" dumb comments please ask yourself do we have a better chance against Seattle IN Seattle or SF IN Charlotte for the NFC Championship? Not to mention what hosting a Championship game means to and for our city

Exactly.

I think we CAN beat Seattle on the road. But, I think we have a better chance beating anybody at home. And, I want the NFCC game here.

Any of 'em.

Beat whomever we play or go home.

That's what it all comes down to, isn't it? You wanna be the best, you gotta beat the best. That said, all things being equal, I like our chances against the Eagles better thasn the others. Plus, I also like the idea of SF or NO knocking off the 'Hawks at their house if the Good Lord is smiling on us...but yeah, we play 'em as the come, and beat 'em or we're done (I think that rhyms a bit!).

Eagles!

And I will phone the stadium security all the way from here in S. Korea to make up a lie about a couple of Eagle fans assulting me and getting them thrown out of the stadium, just like some sow of an Eagles fan did to a couple of our fans in the NFC Championship game in their stadium in 2003-2004

    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
    • This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.
    • Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.
