He disappears too often for me. He had 10 sacks in 3 games and 5 in 13 games. I'd like to see more consistency.

Not to say that I don't think we should keep him or love his attitude because he changed games when he gets on a roll. That said, I'm glad he plays for us and has to go against Gross. He should only get better and more consistent the longer Gross sticks around to go against him in practice.

hardy is one of the top DEs in the league in creating qb pressure...meaning he creates hell without touching the qb.

 

and let's not get started with his ability to play the run.

While he nearly doubled his sack total in the last 2 games, that's the kind of intensity you want in a player, I think

5 sacks in 13 games is not a concern for me. The fact of the matter is that he dominates who he should dominate and once he gets going he's unstoppable. Does he deserve a CJ contract? Yes. He deserves whatever he asks for. But if we play in the playoffs the way we did against the Saints then those 4 sacks mean nothing.

I want to see a huge performance in a big game before we unveil a Kraken statue.
