I am now a troll because I'm too positive about the Panthers offense lolololol. Is this solely because of Zod's thread? This guy knows no more or less about how good this team is than anyone here. Zod is the same guy that swore we were going to trade John Fox to the Giants for Antonio Pierce and picks.

Some of those are defensive points and short fields created by turnovers.

Regardless we have to have smith back if we hope to go anywhere.

What top scoring offense did not also benefit from turnovers?

The teams that we just scored 13,10,17 and 7 on are all teams ( two of them saints games) that are in the NFC playoffs. Our offence is not playing well and we are probably going to play against top notch defenses. Our defense is elite,but at some point our offence is going to have to step it up. The current status quo is not going to be enough, that's why there is concern.

Smitty's typical line these days is 4 catches, 45 yards, no touchdowns. Our offense scores points when Cam doesn't sail balls left and right. If Cam's accuracy is solid, we put up 27+ all day, if he is struggling, it's more in the 17-20 range. That being said, having Smitty back would still be a huge boost to this team in the playoffs.

the thing is, 2-3 of those 4 catches are catches for first downs, and that makes a HUGE difference

Smith brings energy to the offense like nobody else. Even if his catches amount to 3 yds. and a cloud of dust he's a plus for the team and still a big worry for the opposing D.
