Officially Concerned about the Offense

What is with some of  you Panthers' fans? You're always seem obsessed with fixing the least of your team's problems while ignoring the big ass holes. Is it because the media isn't dictating to you how you should think?

 

You are concerned about Cam's inconsistents throws? Like WTF? Every damn week you folks come up with some damn fictious concern over Cam. Why is it that you folks are such experts with everything Cam but can't ever seem the least bit interested in deal with your team's real issues.

 

If you folks have so much problems with Cam so called inaccuracies that every week all you do is sit and find something to bitch about, then GET RID OF HIM. Let him go to a team that don't mind his so called "inconsistent" throws and can deal with them by PUTTING WEAPONS AROUND HIM.

 

I bet your asses would be pissed if he does leave and take another team to the SB and WIN. Clueless..

Da fuq? I am just saying there are things he can improve like every other damn qb in the nfl. Are you not watching the game. He misses throws just like everyone else, different between a superbowl and going home could be a throw.

 

Daunte Culpepper's inconsistent mechanics caught up to him once moss and carter left. I don't want that for Cam. I believe with consistent mechanics he is unstoppable at the qb position.

Rediculous even blaming cam! He's the one and only bright spot we have on the offensive side f the ball, he plays with a poor/terrible offensive line which most if not all analysts and fans agree know of, and has a veteran receiver who although makes plays isn't the player he was, and has what would be a #4 receiver for other teams as his #1/2 receiver! You have to look at te bigger picture not a few overthrows or bad adjustments by your qb! Seriously if Peyton manning had this carolina offense he would not be playing anymore and certainly have the same if not poorer stats the cam has

I don't think that's a fair assessment of Culpepper, since the injury really did him in, and anyone without receiving targets can suffer.

 

But it's not like Cam right now has Moss or Carter

I think this period of time with out a wr is good for Cam, it forces him to have to become nearly perfect as a qb.

I personally think we would be 11-5 or worse with manning, Cam is a top 10 qb who can still get better.

I think it could be two/three years before you see how good cam newton could ever be! There is no way gettleman can address all the offensive needs in this draft and free agency, he needs basically a new line apart from kalil,wharton,kugbila, gross(1more year?)

He needs probably a guard, a couple of tackles and that's not to mention about two or three decent receivers, and maybe a co-ordinator who will release the shackles and let cam be explosive and take a few chances.

You're funny dude. Throwing a receiver open is just situational awareness and instinct, and the play dictates it. Everyone knows how to do it. It's natural human ability. It's not just a football thing, guy. It's not something a coach can be like "this season we're not gonna throw direct to receivers, we're gonna thrown them open". In fact, every single catch that was defended was thrown open to the receiver. You see, you probably heard the announcers mention 'throwing receivers open' then you start looking for it in panthers game and start yapping about it when it's not too obvious to you.

 

For example, on a slant pass if the QB throws the ball directly to the receiver he'll overrun it and will be behind him. So the QB normally throw it ahead so the WR can run to it. Every QB know how to throw a slant.

 

And, what if that receiver could not come out of his break, what do you think would happen to that pass? You seem to be ranting about a specific in-completion instead of using logic. You rant would be well-founded if you were referring to a QB who couldn't complete 60% of his passes.

 

I think you have hit the nail on the head as to what is wrong with some of these fans. They are clueless and is too arrogant to admit it, so they sit and post stuff that make you go WTF simply because Cam is an easy target.

 

First off, if one watches enough football, one would realize that what we see as viewers isn't always what a QB will see. They have seconds to make quick decisions and some already planned where they want to place those balls and expect the receivers to get them. Panthers fans act like Cam should notice every open Receiver because they do.

 

In all honesty, I believe they will say the Offense needs to be fix but when you read these thread 90 percent is  what is wrong with Cam. It's like they are saying, fix Cam and the Offense will be fine. He doesn't need weapons, he just need to correct all of the little things they find wrong with him and the offense would be fine. I seriously wonder if any of these fans watch other teams play objectively.

 

I honestly find myself shaking my head at some of the stuff I read on here. I can't believe some of the stuff posted by those who act like they know what they are talking about. But I tell you one thing, the space between reality and fantasy with some on here  is enormous. And some of them act like they can't think outside of the instructions from the media.

My only issue with Cam is consistency on throws, I don't know whether it is the o-line making him hurry or his internal clock. He needs to get that down pat. Against the niners/saints/seahawks cam has got to hit those routes.

 

Positive is that Cam has developed into a full field reader :) that makes me very pleased

Because I watch a lot of NFL games other than the panthers I see bad overthrows throughout the league. If this were a valid issue about Cam, I can assure you ESPN&NFLN would be all over it. But all they see is a 12-4 team with a QB completing 62% of his passes. I watch a lot of NE games this year, believe me, TomBrady throws a boat load of high balls. In fact, throughout the year, for the most part, he was only completing 55% of his passes. But, like the panthers, NE is 12-4. If QBs could keep all their balls down and always put it in the mid-section of the WR the standard for the league would be 75% instead of 60%. The most important attribute for a QB is the highlighted part.

Sadly I think most "fans" decided 3 years ago whether they were going to like/support Cam or not.

There's nothing Cam can do right in the eyes of his non supporters. And nothing Cam can do to change there minds.

I think what he's saying is sometimes an overthrow is just another in-complete pass. No need to say it's a problem Cam needs to fix because if he could fix it he'd probably complete 100% of his passes.

If you want him like Brady, then give him the YEARS of Brady. Why do you believe Cam will never be as good as Brady until he fixes the problem that not even Brady has fixed 15 years later? Check back in 15 years.

 

FYI, Cam is actually damn better than Brady because Brady is still making the mistakes you're pointing out with Cam, 15 years later. And if Brady is so damn GOOD, then WHY  is the media always demanding that he gets GO TO Receivers and scream for the Offense to step up and help him.

 

You  sitting and scrutinizing Cam, and wanting him to be like Brady at this junction is crazy. You're comparing him to a QB who has 14 years on him and is on a much more disciplined and professional team. Night and day! Not happening with the Panthers. At least not if the team don't spend the money to build around Cam.
