My favorite driver during the early 90s before he went off to the darkside (Ferrari). Still, I always respected Schumi and finally got to see him last year at the Austin race for the first time. Would hate to see him go like this...

Grew up watching him as well. As someone who was born into a family that includes former professional and semi-pro racers, Formula 1 was the only sport I ever kept up with until I hit my teen years. Terrible to see this happen, but I've heard it's not as bad as it originally seemed.

 

Still yet, he's the de-facto greatest of all time... Even though Senna was the better driver, but Michael's sheer decade long domination is unmatched. Wish him the best!!

He drove his Ferrari FXX in one episode of Top Gear. His unveiling as the Stig was only a joke.

 

I really hope Schumi can pull through. He's the reason I got into Formula 1. Doctors said yesterday that he was doing a little better after a second operation.
