Analyzing our Potential Matchups

Exactly. This is a QB driven league and you ALWAYS want the team with the weakest QB sitaution. Rodgers is a HOFer, Foles is red hot and while Kaepernick is good, he is the weakest out of the three.

Foles success is due to chip kelly, however if you get pressure in the back field and you take away foles #1 read, you beat that offense.

Agree with OP on match ups

1. we are the anti-thesis of the eagles. Stout up-front D with a grind it out ball control O. We are light years ahead of Dallas on defense and we play big boy football on offense which plays well against their 3-4.

2. Packers. Rogers is elite but their D is garbage.

3. Kaepernick is crap but some of you are putting to much faith in the QB position. The 49ers still have the most talent of any team in the NFL. All positions of D are strong. Mauling O-line and good outside threats with Gore to pound the rock. We pulled out a close win. If we play them it will be another hard hitting fight till the end. The niners were nasty with alex smith and only lost to the giants on a bad luck special teams play.

I  feel like we don't even have to play perfect games throughout the playoffs. If we play hard hitting physical D and smart football on offense, we can beat anybody. We should have beat Seattle in week one. If not for that bogus special teams play where the ball takes a screwy bounce that hits Armand Smith and that Dwill fumble at the end of the game we win. We shut down Seattle and held them to virtually no offense.

Our D cant play passive like it did against in New Orleans in the dome and they have to wrap up on D (the patriots moved the ball through to many missed tackles).

have a good feeling that the Saints are going beat the Eagles and were going be playing the 9ers again

The saints couldn't beat their way out of a wet paper bag outside of the stupordome. Philly in January? That's going to be a rough game for the aints

You guys are insane. Its obvious we want SF and New Orleans to win so SF will have to play a 10AM cross country playoff game. We stop the run, there is no chance SF can beat us at home at 10AM.

Want no part of GB. They are very well balanced on offense and could put up 30 depsite our defense.

Philly would probably be too green and can be stopped with our D. Also we can put up points on them

I understand the fear of Rodgers... but if you watched him play today verses how Kaepernick played today; you would rather play the Packers... Hell, seven of the Packers points came off of a fluke play, if they don't have those points + Chicago's defense going full Nakamura then they aren't even in the discussion right now.

Personally I don't know if Rodgers will be %100 this year... and I feel much more comfortable against them then that stout defense from San Francisco.

I understand the idea of wanting to play San Fran at 1:00 P.M. but this is the NFL... while it may make some difference, it won't have a significant outcome on the game.

I think we are also overlooking the fact that San Francisco could easily decide to leave four days early to fully get accustomed to the time change.

Nonetheless, if we play to our potential (i.e. the New England game) we can beat anyone in the league.
