Browns To Fire Chudzinski [edit: he got dumped]

How is that different then Shula this year?

not exactly my strongest argument but if we are going to use it for a reason why Chud sucks, I can at least use if for Shula, and at least Chud had the Offense roaring over the final 5 games, not petering out.

your argument is weak.

Because Chud only became decent when Rivera forced him to completely change his offensive philosophy.

When Chud had offensive latitude, our offense was beyond stagnant.

Now, Chud went to Cleveland and had full control to call his own offense....and he sucked again.

Now if we could get Norv as OC, I would be all for it. But give me Shula over Chud every time.

Chud came out of the gate with that cute offense in 2012. It blew up on us and made life tougher on a not so great D

Ironically, when Chuds' offense was more conventional in 2011 (though many don't realize this), it was nearly unstoppable.

When he went full retard at the beginning at 2012, it wasn't. Then when he made it more conventional again, it became good again.

both years under chud we were 12th in TOP which is not bad, this year we are 5th averaging almost 2 more minutes a game, which while nice isn't that big of a difference when you are talking about going from 29.5 to 31.2 minutes per game

We were first a couple of weeks ago, but the last 2 or 3 games, we have struggled a bit.

But our top and ppg is higher this year than last.  Only slightly higher perhaps, but still higher.

I am not really a fan of Shula, but the players seem comfortable with him, so I wouldn't want to dump him unless we could get someone who is clearly better, and imo that ain't Chud.

And fwiw, I have always believed that offensive and defensive coordinators get to much blame/credit for the performance of their respective players.  Coordinators run the type of offense the head coaches want, so I think that Rivera is probably ok with the plays being called.  If he wasn't, he would step in and do something about it.

Shula didn't come out with a super cute O that imploded that he was forced to correct.

Shula also has coached his last 2 without an even older version of 89.

In addition, all your focus in on those last 5 of 2012

Chud's rolling offense (last 5) faced

32nd ranked D (worst in the NFL history)

24th ranked D

20th ranked D

18th ranked D

9th ranked D

Shula's last 5

4th ranked D

4th ranked D

11th ranked D

13th ranked D

28th ranked D

So I would say competition plays a part in Chud's rolling O vs Shula petering one.

And there you go throwing facts into a perfectly good argument that I was winning.
