Browns To Fire Chudzinski [edit: he got dumped]

Chud had the likes of Campbell and Weeden as his starting Qb, they competed well against playoff teams

and more then one article has showed the players were behind him and furious of the firing : http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000306926/article/rob-chudzinski-firing-infuriates-many-cleveland-browns-players

If players are behind you till the end, if you've competed against good teams, if you have a revolving door of average and poor Qbs and overall talent , you shouldn't be fired your first year

That's the problem. Other Brown players, have tweeted they didn't like him. And NFL.com reported (on the air last night), 'the reason why he was fired so quickly, was cause he lost the locker room'.

So there is evidence, Chud took his act on the road from Carolina, burning bridges quickly.

I think the players that were furious, were furious for [another] quick change, from a clueless organization, more than loving Chud.

And I'm one, who thought he was fired too soon. Give the guy a chance. But apparently, the players completely lost faith in him, and that's why this move was made so quickly. That's the only thing that makes sense. From SI:

The Cleveland Browns decision to fire head coach Rob Chudzinski after just one year on the job was a very surprising one, and the reasons given deal with Chud’s ability to develop players. There are reports and rumors circulating that Chudzinski lost control of the locker room and the respect of his players, but the Browns decision to fire him has been met with plenty of criticism.

Here's also a Cleveland Plain Dealer article, stating numerous times how the Browns were regressing, and how ownership lost faith in him. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2013/12/cleveland_browns_head_coach_ro_1.html

Yea word out of Cleveland is that the players are pissed about this and don't think he was the problem.

Here's another link about this from yesterday:

Far from a perception of egomania like a lot of people here are espousing. If DeAngelo Williams told you guys you'd be better off jumping off a bridge would you do it? Do you believe everything Steve Smith tells you as truth?

Shula and Cam get down the field when the game is on the line. Chud would take a poo.

I agree the playcalling is pretty cinservative sometimes, and i would live to se a 30 ppg offense next season one way or another. We dont have the o-line to be a ground and pound team like Shula is calling. And we dont have the WRs to ne a passing attack... so who knows man.

Maybe Shula is doing an exeptional job and is forced to call the game the way he does.

Saying all that: The Browns, were a bunch of idiots to begin with, if they thought that Chudzinski could develop Brandon Wheeden the way he did Cam Newton (or Cam developed/helped Chud), according to news articles.

That was fools gold on their part. Don't they know, Cam gets everyone a new job/promotion, by making them look good. SMH/LOL

I don't think players would be furious, regardless of the speed of the firing, if they truly disliked him. Either way more then one made specific quotes relating to Chud and their approval of his coaching.

This is a team that already in the midst of a losing season fought New England to the wire. Perhaps he did lose the room, but there are enough quotes from multiple players to dispute this or at least make the reports questionable.

there were also quotes from brown players saying he was an egomaniac.
