Browns To Fire Chudzinski [edit: he got dumped]

Why anyone would want Chud back in the organization is beyond me.  We had multiple players bash him this year after he left.

This is the only argument that I've heard so far that makes any sense.  Team chemistry would probably suffer with his return.

All the other crap about us being 12-4 is disingenuous. We aren't 12-4 because of Shula, we are 12-4 notwithstanding Shula.  In my book, Chud > Shula. He earned a head coaching gig, albeit with the Clowns, based in part because of his work as a Panther. No one is going to be beating Shula's door down with any HC offers anytime soon. The offense has taken a moticeable step backwards this year, even though there is more talent this year than the last. That's why people would entertain notions of bringing Chud back (however unrealistic it may be).

Shulaball is akin to Foxball without balls

the players didn't  like him. as a coach he wasn't exactly a team player unless forced to be.

i can't see him coming back in any capacity. the team moved on. they won't go back.

he might be a brilliant mind, but him being too full of himself made him undesirable.

No all positions deal with the players and being part of a team and being the OC is much different. Still his ego may make him sit out for a year.

I'm just surprised they dropped him after one year. I don't care who the coach is, it's tough to really put your stamp on a team and get a fair chance after one season. The rumors of the players not liking him must be true?

Apparently the players didn't like him, and management felt he totally lost the team. That's why they fired him so shortly.

they also talked about how after a hot start they did nothing but lose and showed no growth or improvement on the season. sounds kind of like his time here and in cleveland as an OC.

he peaks early then gets dumb. i knew it would happen, but i didn't expect it to happen in such a short amount of time.

and for those with short memories, our offense was dynamic in 2011, but was stagnant for half of 2012 while chud ran the offense his way. the second half only got better because chud got put on a leash.

also remember that there was no sorrow from anyone on the team when he left. no coaches or players were upset. usually there is at least some sign of being disappointed, but with chud there was none. no one liked him. no one was going to miss him. no one was even going to pretend to miss him. there wasn't the outpouring of support from players or coaches wishing him well or success that you might see for a coach that was liked. it was just a feeling of wanting to move on....at least that's what i perceived.

when you aren't missed regardless of your talent, there's a problem and that problem is with you.

Agreed/

And not only was he "not missed", but Smitty, Olsen, D'Angelo, Lafell, and Tolbert all took their shots at him in one way or the other after he left.
