Official Panthers - Falcons Gameday Thread

No, the reason some of us are so down on the team after wins is that.

Me bitching during games about everything is just who I am :P

Maybe I need to get on that bitching train with you when it comes to my QB. I swear Eli is vying for the King of Ints this season. SMH. I have seriously lost count. Correction, the Giants is having a Panthers' season, where everything that can go wrong will. Eli throws a perfect ball and it literally bounces off the receiver's belly into the Redskins' defenders hands. Oh my!

Maybe I just need to focus on the Panthers and Jets today. SMH

Hold on. You think this is all on the defense? This offense is not bad, as evidenced by last week at San Fran. The offense is playing piss poor against an atrocious defense and has had 1 drive to this point worth talking about.

So you're saying it was the offenses fault Roddy White was wide fuging open deep?

Interesting...

All goes back to not having a run game....that is ultimately why our O disappears.

People quote total rush stats.....but we rarely give Cam a legit rush game to work off of

    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
    • This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.
    • Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.
