Oher has underachieved in B-more. Could Matsko get him right?

If Oher hasn't worked out at right tackle for the ravens after moving him from the left side, why would one think he would do better as a Carolina Panther?

I mean, he's been in the league awhile and I feel sure that the Ravens have decent DL coaches. Plus, If the Panthers went the free agent route to help improve our DL there are probably as good or even better players to be obtained at a lesser price.

Oher is an offensive tackle.

 

This is probably his worst year, but remember he's been injured since Week 2 (end of September sometime). In order to get some perspective, maybe look at his performance thru his career instead of just this season.

Read an article today that indicated the Ravens might want to keep him, albeit for significantly less money than he wants.  If the Ravens aren't willing to pay him what he wants, it doesn't seem likely that we would either.  But who knows?

I say no. Don't touch him. Do I think it's possible we could resurrect his career? Sure. But, I'd rather take a highly regarded younger guy that CAN play LT effectively so we can move Gross to the right side.

He is actually worse than Bell but he had movie made about him! Lets sign him!

That's a tough one. You gotta ask yourself, is he better than Bell? How much money will he command? Would it be more effective (and cheaper) to draft an upgrade over Bell?

Gross's situation will also play a factor in a potential decision.

 

He's miles and miles ahead of Bell.

He was teammates with Hardy in both HS and college. maybe he would take a discount to play here too

I'd have to think that playing with a mobile QB would interest any OLine man.

Especially those that are sub par. Mobile QB's are able to bail them out alot more than a Non mobile QB
