Anyone Here Work for AutoZone?

Went in today to get a new battery for my Tahoe. It's OEM, the truck is 5 model years old and it's been a slow crank the past couple days with temps at or below freezing at night.

Anyway, a young lady assisted me and installed the new battery in about 15 minutes, which is really good considering there are a couple brackets and bolts to remove and get out of the way just to access the battery. So, I'm providing whatever help I can and carrying on small talk. Turns out she's the District Manager, knew her stuff and was very professional, courteous and helpful. After I retired from the Navy, I spent almost 17 years with Lowe's Home Improvement and I know what good customer service is. I was thoroughly impressed and am going to write a letter to her boss- the company needs to know they have an exceptional employee representing their company.

If the other employees in that store are as friendly and helpful as she was, I'll be a customer for life.

I wish more women got into auto mechanics. I know that we men will get in a hurry, stop paying attention or whatever, and break a bolt off at the worst possible time and place, or run a belt the wrong way on a pulley... whatever.

But women generally pay so much more attention to detail.
