.Lafell 1.Ginn 2, and Hixon 3 with Smith out?

The depth chart really isn't important, the role each of these guys will play during the game is more about the plays and personnel groupings.

Hixon is Smith's backup so technically he would be the # 1 receiver on certain plays but that could change from play to play depending on what is called for.

The flanker or Z receiver is typically a team's # 1 receiver and is lined up off the LOS to avoid being jammed and Smitty plays this role a lot, but he also moves around to the X (split end) and Y (slot) positions.

I could see Ginn lining up as the Z receiver for most of the game to avoid being jammed while Hixon and LaFell interchange between the X and Y positions. LaFell is an excellent downfield blocker, so he'll spend most of his time as the X receiver while Hixon plays out of the slot.

Excellent explanation

I have heard surprisingly little. The CO isn't exactly giving us any real insights...

WFNZ has done a few interviews that I have listened to this week, and when asked, that is what has been said.  One interviewee was Joe Person, but I don't remember who the others were.  Greg Cosell this morning maybe?

I don't even know what a WFNZ is haha. Did some digging around and ESPN South Blog has a few snippets of info about the WR situation.

Please explain how Shula has impacted Cam's accuracy on the deep ball.

It may be how defenses are playing us, too, but the coordinator's play selection has a role.

Cam's completion percentage on balls thrown >21 yards is way down this year, though (21% as opposed to 45% last year and 31% the year before).  He's shown he can make those throws still, so I don't think there's anything *wrong* with Cam.  Hard to say.

We are throwing roughly the same number of deep balls this year as last year too, and Cam's completing more 11-20 yard throws as a percentage.  He's still going vertical.  I dunno what's up.

610am out of Charlotte.  The fan.  I listen using the radio.com app.  The morning show is pretty good.  I don't listen to the rest very much.

Wouldn't it really be fantastic if McNutt came in and had a super performance.

it would, but I've given up hoping some guy that is getting no playing time but has been practicing with us for weeks is going to suddenly explode on the field.  I've felt that way for years with this team and receivers, as if it was only a matter of time before some PS player really took off mid season... I hope he does, but reality suggests he probably won't do much until next year at earliest, once he's had camp and all with us...

Are you truly that dense?

I mean, I didn't call you out on some of the meathead assumptions you made earlier this season but if you don't know how an offensive coordinator effects a QB's deep game then you obviously have no idea how an offense works in the first place.

Talent is only half the issue.

I was asking you a legitimate question you fuging douchebag. One which you did not even come close to answering.

Shula absolutely has called fewer deep passes this season. But that has nothing to do with Cam's accuracy on said throws.

If anything, you could say the the work that Dorsey has done with Cam's mechanics may have impacted it....there could be validity to that statement.

Instead, you just make some idiotic comment blaming Shula.

Take a clue from Mav above. He provided a well thought out statement pointing out valid facts. Even though he (like me) is not sure why his completion % is down, he did provide a couple of possibilities...teams playing us more to take that away.

Unlike you...who just spews the same old crap and sarcastic responses with zero substance it thought... Probably because that is all your tiny little brain can muster up.

So, now you can just sit over in the corner like a nice little boy and just STFU.
