The guy has the worst, and i mean worst, mechanics of any QB in the NFL. Imagine if Cam had Megatron. Hell, even Carson Palmer. Give Stafford the receiving core of say the Seachickens and he'd already been looking for another job.

So...let's see. Because Mathew can throw a pass from a myriad of angles, he has bad mechanics? Oh...good to know these things. Here I was under the impression he is amazing with how many release points he has.

Thanks for enlightening me.

Take Calvin off the Lions and they do have a mediocre WR corp. I know you were just looking for attention. Thankfully, I had some extra time today to give it to you.

What good QB doesn't have his go-to receiver?

Would Kurt Warner be good without Holt and Bruce? Probably not.

Guess what? Warner did, in fact, have Holt and Bruce.

Brady had Moss and Welker.

Ryan has White and Who?lio

Brees has Colston and Graham.

Montana had Rice and Clark

Peyton had Harrison and Wayne

Can someone tell me an elite QB who didn't have an elite receiver? If not, why is Stafford - Megatron any different?

So are you folks bascially saying that a QB is only as good as his receivers? Why is the argument different for your QB?

I think it's his Romo-esque attribute that lands him as overrated. Stafford is a prolific passer with outstanding stats but good lord does he committ the stupidest mistakes in crunch time. Take for instance that badass fake spike at the goal line against the Cowboys. It was awesome to watch but can you imagine the outrage that would have ensued had he botched the play? Matthew is in his fifth year. He puts up great numbers consistently but he needs to start finishing games too.

Personally, I would prefer they play the whole game. They start well, then get conservative, then expect Mathew to bail them out. Tough circumstances for almost any QB.

They are at the top of the league in 1st quarter points. Then steadily decline through the 2nd, and 3rd quarter. Then they have to fight to get back in the game. It is the main reason most Lions fans are hoping Schwartz and Lineman get replaced. Goofy coaching.

Oh well, not going to beleaguer the point. Expecially now the we are so close to finishing off one hellofa season up in here. My dream of a Lions/Panthers Championship game, which looked so promising just 6 weeks ago, is dead. Fug.

It's hilarious when people try to show off how smart they are and end up looking like idiots.

I blame it on Madden and Fantasy Football. On Madden they can make a player do anything they want, and FF gets them thinking about stats and points.

They have lost touch with the nuances of the actual game. Too bad really. Football is such a cerebral game. With so many moving parts, it is the ultimate thinking mans game. Maybe that is why they try to simplify it by relating it to a video game?

Some folks think the QB makes the WR. Some think it is the WR that make the QB.

In all actuality,, if your QB does not have decent WR he is going to struggle. No matter who he is. And great WR will not make a half-azzed QB better. You have to have talent at both positions to truly be successful. But hey, don't tell anyone. It is a secret.

That is the logic used to discredit your QB and for some strange reason, it seems to work.

because our QB can make his own plays.

And our receivers aren't as bad as the huddle fantasy crowd would have you believe.

So shouldn't that make him an exceptional QB?

Also, your Receivers aren't bad but they aren't consistant either and there lies the problem. Your QB is left to try and be creative with his own plays to help the inconsistency of the Offense. Something way to many of you don't even appreciate.
