It's That Time of Year Again (The Week 17 Flex)

right now 506 has us getting the Saints and Bucs which is kind of dumb because that game is meaningless to us if we win.

Ugh..............I'd rather see one of these in order of preference.....

Green Bay at Chicago......

Rams at Seattle.......

San Fran at Arizona.....

They never learn. Year after year Dallas manages to hang around mathematically until the last week of the season. Every year they get flexed into prime time match ups. I'm just tired of it. We've been overexposed to the NFC LEAST. Death, Taxes, and the Dallas Cowboys imploding in the final game of the regular season.

Our Panthers will play the Falcons at 1pm on Sunday. I'm OK with this because our opponent is bad and the drive home from Atlanta will be easier to manage on Sunday for fans. It also sets us up for an appealing slate of 4pm games. The Bucs and Saints game may mean little to us by 4pm. That gives us a chance to root for the 49ers vs. Cardinals and the Rams vs. Seahawks. The Packers and Bears looks like a fun game too. With all these appealing match ups I come back to my original point: the Cowboys are depriving us of a good Sunday Night game.

It will be a good Sunday night game mark my words

Well Fox is not obligated to show us the Saints game, if they get a lead it will be preempted. Maybe even changed before kickoff. They are assuming we will care about that game because of the NFC South race but we could end the race by beating ATL.

I don't know, Green Bay has a lot of national fans, and Chicago does as well.  I guess as far as ratings go alone, Dallas/Philly is a better game - but with Romo out?  Meh...

There were tons of Green Bay fans in Dallas a couple weeks ago. Every time Green Bay scored there was a roar. Brett Favre really appealed to Joe USA.

Am I to understand that if the Panthers win their game then the Saints game for our market becomes a moot point that Fox might show us another game?

Do they make changes like that?

Im in the minority but I like Dallas chances. Maybe im a little bias because I badly want to play them in the playoffs but Kyle Orton is a above average backup, and while ofcourse hes not anywhere near Manning, he was the starter in Denver not long ago and has shown he can win a game or two. Its in Dallas as well, remember, the Eagles lost to the Cassell led Vikings just two weeks ago. Orton is not a bad QB
