i'm still getting used to vista on the cheap laptop i bought a few months back. i'm not sure if some of the things it does are normal, or if I should go use the warranty i got with it.

it works fine once it cuts on, but if i just close it to put it in standby it can be very difficult to bring back up. the past few days after it has been in standby, i've ended up doing hard shutdowns, then cutting back on. it seems to be the only way, and it is very aggravating.

It's a cheap laptop. The wakeup from standby mode is not working correctly. I have the same problem with XP on an older but nice HP laptop.
