Christmas Day Menu

Good morning and merry Christmas my fellow panther fans! While we're all taking in the afternoon enjoying our extended family's company, we might as well share some of our holiday eats! So buckle up we're going for a ride to deliciousville.

No breakfast in our family, we start with the appetizers around 2-3 pm.

Antipasto -(Soppressata, ham, proscuitto, muenster, mortadella, artichoke hearts, eggplant and assorted olives.)

Shrimp Cocktail

Arugula salad with blue cheese crumbles.

Then we get onto the main feast.

15 lb Standing Prime Rib Roast with horseradish crust and ajus.

Baked potatoes.

Fresh sautéed mushrooms.

Pillsbury's crescent rolls.

Run of the mill corn.

I'm not a big desert guy but for the sultan's of the sweets....

Pumpkin mousse and pastry shells topped with fresh whipped cream and home made Christmas cookies with fresh fruit.

Also my cousin's fiancee's family own Rich's Farms in Connecticut which was rated the best ice cream in the country. So that will be there as well.

Then later on the woman and I will be going over my friends house to meet up with everyone for a night of hard liquor, beer and good conversation. Thanks for listening, now have a merry Christmas and share with the rest of the class!

We are doing something different this year.  Kids are grown and they are shuffeling families so we decided on a Christmas brunch.  Kids drop in around 10AM.  We have the traditional ham, yams, rolls and veggies but I'll have the griddle set up for eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy.  This is going to be good.  Have a great day everyone.

Christmas in Korea leaves me without that sweet honey baked ham and affordable turkey.

Which leaves me with beef/Italian sausage lasagna!

Washed down with some STRONG ass eggnog made when I was already half drunk and being very liberal with the rum.

Merry Merry day ahead~

How ironic is this , I live 35 miles north of the stadium and my family and I are having Korean bbq.

Getting ready to throw 20 pounds of ribeye on the smoker. Will pull around 115 and finish in the oven on 500 until the meat is around 135. My wife is making her hash brown casserole, bacon wrapped green beans, sweet potatoes, rolls, and a fug load if desserts!

If there is anyone in the Hickory area with no where to go you are more than welcome at our house! Drop me a pm if interested!

    • I'm not saying he should be working in the NFL. He did deserve some criticism as DC there. But Kyle Shanahan certainly did use him as a convenient scapegoat. Now there is no one left to throw under the bus. Anyways he could find his way back to the league in some capacity who knows. But he's old school and in the NFL you either adjust or you get left behind. All the same no hard feelings toward him he's a good guy.
    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
