Unfortunately the league uses Sacks as the Golden Standard. So that'll give Quinn the edge. I think Luke has done more than enough to earn it.

Deion is one of the Pro Bowl captains, and he already said he would choose Luke to his squad if he didn't make it otherwise, so the PB thing is moot.

It's a locked already. LUKE KUECHLY of the Carolina Panthers has won DEFENSIVE PLAYER of the YEAR! By last week performance alone.

Robert Quinn has been nasty this season, but KUECHLY is winning and making an impact on this defense.

Kuechly has helped turn around the worst defense into the best. His play has changed how our entire team plays and is the reason we're heading into the playoffs. Quinn's sack numbers look nice but he has nothing on Kuechly.

Fan vote only counts for 1/3 of the process. Coaches and players make up the other 2/3 and their is no doubt Kuechly will be a pro bowler.

Luke is deff third for me.

 

 

I've got Richard Sherman then Robert Quinn. Sherman has been amazing this year and has just shined. If there were any doubts about the best corner last year, he's solidified them this year.

 

I'd say Sherman simply because when QB's do go after him, you can bank on Seattle getting the ball back. Otherwise, your WR is done.

And the DROTY is voted on by the AP so its not tied to the Pro Bowl voters.

Even with the fan vote only Luke would get in with this years format. He was third already.

Let me also add though, that Luke has been spectacular this year. Had he generated a few more turnovers, I'd call him DPOY.

 

Still, his leadership and instincts are unreal and his influence on his fellow teammate's truly have elevated our Defense to the force it has been.
