Panthers middle linebacker Luke Kuechly was named the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week after collecting a franchise-record 26 tackles and an interception in the 17-13 win against New Orleans.

It's the second such honor this season for Kuechly and the third of his career, tying him with former Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers for the most in team history.

 

 

Already has tied Pep's record for that as a Panther. That is impressive.  Luke has more passion and determination than, well you know.  He is a healthy Dan Morgan.  Can't even imagine the future for Luke.

Thank God I'm not a GM. I remember being so nonchalant when we got him. I wasn't too high, nor too low. But I was a bit confused as to why we drafted Luke when we had Beason who recently was regarded top of his position. Very glad to have LUUUUKKKKEEEEE

TD is one of the best OLB in the league and deserves a ton of credit. Luke however is just on another whole level.
