Just think how much better our cap situation would be if our previous poo for brains GM hadn't signed him to this ridiculous contract just last season.  Instead of using that money to upgrade our WR's, Oline or secondary we will be paying this guy to heal for the next 2-3 years until we can finally justify taking the cap hit to cut him.  On the bright side, Stewarts contract is the one that finally got Hurney fired so there is the one positive of the poo sandwich we will be eating the next few years.

Stewart isn't a reason to get a first round bye. At this point he has missed to many games this season and imo they'd be doing more bad than good trying to work him into the rotation.

yes, but hes not owed all of that if we keep him. between incentives and team options, he will cost MUCH more to cut, than to actually remain on the team

You need to research how the cap works. We absolutely cannot afford to cut him this off season as he would cost us 18mil to cut him or 5mil to keep him. We can't afford the additional 13 mil hit.
