Kuechly now credited with 26 tackles. New NFL Record. (According to our PR Department)

I was wondering when someone was gonna drop this bombshell. True story unfortunately

Awesome, but unfortunately this is an unofficial record since the NFL doesn't keep records on tackles  :(

Either way, Luke is the man and the best LB in the league - we don't need records to know that.

very good info thanks

Just to clarify, team and NFL tackle stats are different and not the same. To give an example, the team credits Luke with 205 tackles over the 2012 season while the NFL 'only' gave him 164 (still enough to lead the league). Team tackle totals tend to include any time the player is even somewhat involved in a tackle, while NFL totals are a little more stringent.

*According to offical NFL press-box stats, Luke Kuechly only tied the NFL record set by David Wilson for tackles (24), while Panthers team stats give him 26 tackles.

*The Brian Urlacher 'record' 25-tackle game is based on the Bears team stats - the offical NFL stat for that game is he had 19 tackles. (http://www.nfl.com/player/brianurlacher/2504098/gamelogs?season=2006) This is similar to Dan Morgan only being credited with 18 tackles in the Super Bowl when the Panthers credit him with 25.

So basically Luke Kuechly was credited with more tackles by the Panthers than the Bears credited Urlacher with in the 2006 Cardinals game. Either way Kuechly is a record-holder but NFL stats are the ones to go by.

In science fiction, space and time warps are a commonplace. They are used for rapid journeys around the galaxy, or for travel through time. But today's science fiction, is often tomorrow's science fact. So what are the chances for space and time warps.
