Dont forget who's behind the man

On one of his WFNZ appearances, Smitty said White's problem was that he hit the rookie wall pretty hard. He still believes he'll be a good player, though. Said he's a hard worker and is very coachable.

They also asked him what the deal was with Josh Norman. Smitty didn't sound quite so confident about his future (hinted that his work ethic needed improvement).

Good info, hadn't heard that... maybe White can develop into the guy we need with enough time? Smitty's endorsement certainly gives me hope.

We have been giving McGOAT plenty of credit. Do you even Huddle? Most of us are afraid he's gonna get offered a HC job...

I'm in that boat.

There's also some though, that just go around claiming that it's all Rivera and McD has nothing to do with it, and we shouldn't even care about McD.

The dude has likely had a big hand in developing Luke, Hardy, Star and many of those other studs you see on D. Its not all just playcalling that he does. I know Washington has coached up a beast and all the other guys coaches are getting involved, but McDermott is never really mentioned in terms of development. I find that odd.

i do believe that RR and SM work well together and have built this defense together.Their philosophies must mesh well and the proof is on the field. RR had a very good defense in San Diego so you know he is a big part of this. I don't know if SM would be quite as successful on his own. Sometimes two heads are better then one..as they say.
