1st round - RG 6'3" 334lbs  Gabe Jackson (what we need in the OL is consistency and injuries have ruined it every year.) Top rated guard that can run block and pass protect.

2nd round - WR- 6'5" 230lbs  Kelvin Benjamin

3rd round- RT 6'7" 347lbs Corey Robinson

4th round- TE

5th round- CB

Remember, we already have three guards on IR.  So hopefully, we get those guys back next season at 100%.  Not a good idea to draft a G with our first pick.  Also, Robinson hasn't declared yet.  As a Gamecock fan, I believe he's coming back for another year.

I know but that has been the problem the guards on IR is that they can't stay healthy and we need somebody reliable. Just like the talent difference between Star vs other DT ,..we need to pick up a guard that dominates the line of scrimmage especially in run blocking where we are miserable. This will build the OL like the DL where we turn one of our weakness into strength.

With Hurst's injury, I think we should trade our second round pick.  No doubt we need to take a WR with our first pick, but try to take Hurst late.  He'll most likely fall to the 5th or 6th round.

Don't think he will drop out of the second.  Injury is non displaced fracture.  Should be good to go by OTA's

Gabe Jackson could do that job.

I dont think Hurst will fall far. Even if he falls out the 2nd, he'll likely be a high 3rd rounder.

But I do like the idea of trading the 2nd round pick.

A team like SF, NYJ, Minny, or the Browns who all have two 3rd rounders could be a trade partner. Most likely SF.

This draft is deep enough that we can still grab some talents in the 3rd. Be fun possessing three 3rd rounders.

(1) Kelvin Benjamin / Jordan Matthews / Allen Robinson / Odell Beckham Jr.

(3) James Hurst ? / Seantrel Henderson / Jack Mewhort / Morgan Moses

(3) Jarvis Landry / Brandon Coleman / Jared Abbrederis

(3) Aaron Colvin / Jaylen Watkins / E.J. Gaines

For fun, I played that draft simulator game and traded our second round pick.  Here were my results:

Round 1 Pick 29: Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt ( B)

Round 3 Pick 7 (NYJ): Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State (A)

Round 3 Pick 26 (IND): Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia (A)

Round 3 Pick 29: Jaylen Watkins, CB, Florida ( B)

Round 4 Pick 29: James White, RB, Wisconsin (B+)

Round 5 Pick 29: Boseko Lokombo, OLB, Oregon (A)

Round 6 Pick 29: Hakeem Smith, SS, Louisville (A)

Round 7 Pick 12: L'Damian Washington, WR, Missouri (A)

Now that's a haul.
