Can we discuss Smitty's absense, and it's effect on our Offense?

Hold up, I only categorize "elite qbs" as qbs who have taken their team to the superbowl and won while being 75% of the offensive output.

For me Cam is a top 10 qb, that is not elite.

However with this postseason, he will rise dramatically. Part of being elite is winning with scrubs, thats why I consider Brady better than Manning, Brees and rodgers.

If Cam take us to the superbowl with the wr crew we have, what camt he do?

I was actually hoping your list was just for sarcastic purposes. You were serious?

To The OP

QB's don't regularly throw to 8-9 receivers every week, though it happens. Usually it's your Brees's, Brady's, Manning's, Rogers, or some other good QB having a great day.

Nonetheless, You can only throw to who's on the field, and Cam's been doing this. Just look at his game winning drive this weekend? He hit three different receivers alone, on his three completions.

You said a lot of other crazy stuff that I could comment on. But I'll leave it here.

I really don't understand why everything here has to turn into disrespectful rants and disagreements.

But here I go again, defending not only my opinion but facts. My OP clearly differentiates what is and what is not speculation.

Do you consider Matthew Stafford an elite QB?

Do you think that his performance in a losing effort against the Giants was a good performance?

My answer to both of those questions is no. What are yours?

I bet you didn't realize that Stafford connected on passes to 9 different players... And it might have been more.

My thread was to generate a discussion on what everyone here thought our offense needs to do to be successful moving fwd. if you care to bring something meaningful to the conversation I welcome it

Honestly, don't you have any integrity? Don't you feel an ounce of shame when you set out to create threads like these about your QB, especially when you know it's reeking with BS. Are you that desparate for attention?

Also, FYI, the whole Cam has accuracy issues is just as much a myth as the him having a second season slump last year. Every fugging QB mis-fires a ball or two. No one ever accuse Peyton, Brady, or Brees of having inaccuracy issues when they mis-fire or over throw a ball or 5, and they have been playing the game longer.

I seriously want to know why some of you are so quick to want to believe every false ish about this kid, even worst is you will join the A-holish behavior by creating your own myths about him. Does it seriously bother some of you to see a black QB playing so exceptionally well that you feel you need to control him by undermining him?

BTW the same folks who are spewing the myth about Cam will turning around and worshipping the kid for his perfect throws and game plays. It's like we can't control this kid's talent, so we will make a big deal over every ish he does. That is how we will control him.

IMO, if you have to spend every game treating Cam like he's at the Combine where you feel you need to check every throw for perfect loft, zip and height, than that means there isn't a fugging thign wrong with him and the problem is YOU!

I wonder if the media push false story of Cam raping someone, how many of you will still believe he must have done something, even it was proven to be a false story? Some of you are so downright obvious. Just saying!!!

I understand your rant. The problem lies in everybody having ability to create threads without a format. In some other forums they have a specific format and information that needs to be included in them. You might think it's the whole fanbase that think like the OP but it's just one dude on his couch who "has an idea" for a thread. And of course this is what make this one of the funnest forum out there.

you guys need to quit sleeping on hixon, it's time for guys to step it up................lafell has been so disappointing at times this year, one week he's good the other he's poo....either play like that all the time or put someone else in. Lets win this next game and get smith a much needed rest along with cam,cj and others

Our offense is geared to work best when Cam is mobile to extend plays and add an "x" factor to our run game.

We lost that with the temporary issues Cam had with his lower leg. As a result the whole rhythm of our offense was disrupted.

To answer the question here..............Olsen is the go to guy now (and has been) for moving the chain and we can spread out the passing game to everyone else.

If Cam is 100% by playoff time we will have the offense we need with or without Smitty we should be able to go deep into the playoffs.

Of all the young QBs, I would put Cam, Dalton, and Russel in the top three.

Me personally, I think Cam is better than all of them,

Thats why I put him in the top 10, but he isn't elite yet. He will get there though, sooner rather than later.

Throwing receivers open is essential in being a great qb, Cam has been doing that well this season. However when you lose a guy like #89 who can compensate for the occasional bad pass, you have to be even more precise and deliberate in each throw.

Thats what has made Tom Brady successful and what will make Cam unbeatable
