The fact of the matter is that sean payton didn't believe that Cam would deliver with 55 seconds left on the clock. What cam did in that final drive was elite qb top 5 worthy play. He honestly thought cam would get stymied again by his defense. Cam proved that motherfugger wrong though. 

 

I think most expected the same thing. I was rooting for Cam to win it for us, but I didn't think he would. He hadn't shown much of anything until then except for the bomb to 89 on the first drive.

That is true, most thought that, I myself didn't think we would get a touchdown, but probably a field goal because of how our offense was doing the whole game. I am so happy though,how cam proved all of us wrong though. How many game winning drives did cam have this year? We as fans especially, shouldn't be underestimating what he can do. Sean payton though, he can continue to underestimate cam lol.

totally agree with Steven A that running the ball for a 3 and out in their last drive was a huge mistake. They were getting 5-6 yards at will, and a couple of quick slants give them the 1st down they needed to win. I didn't think there was a chance in hell that they would run-run-run to a 3 and out. Shocked the hell out of me.

Ball was coming out funny the series prior and our LBs had picked him twice.....I get why Payton played it safe.

He would have been bashed if he threw and failed to convert. When what you do doesn't work.....you get bashed.

They did not pass on third down because we had no timeouts. An incomplete pass would have given us the ball with almost two minutes. He was able to run out nearly another minute.

We just found a way to Rise Up and win the game.

 

You are right Hatter.  It is always what the other teams didn't do vs. what the Panthers did.

 

Frankly, as putrid as the Panthers offense was for roughly 57  mins, what coach in the NFL would not have done the same.
