Something that is complete CRAP about the Panthers team store

Star is doing a great job, but who wants a Star jersey right now? What football fans are buying up rookie DT jerseys? TD is the heart and soul of this franchise, but Nike is clueless. They need to stick to what they know, exploiting Asian people for criminally cheap labor.

A couple things here. Number 1, it's mostly a Nike problem. Nike have been real snobs towards the Panthers, they offer a very small selection of best sellers and don't give the Panthers the personal attention that Reebok did. When Reebok was our Apparel provider they had plenty of less common players in the team store. Guys like John Kasay, Chris Gamble, even Jordan Gross or Brad Hoover.

This brings me to no.2. When Thomas Davis had his third knee operation the team store liquidated his stock. Thomas Davis was insulted when he went to the store to buy some stuff for his family and they had 58 jerseys marked down to 5 bucks. Literally, a $5 bill.

So when TD made his comeback Nike was the provider and they have been very difficult to work with. That is why you see the Panthers selling more 47 brand and other obscure brands.

Today I checked out the team store for they first time. I was going to buy something that I have always wanted, a #58 Thomas Davis jersey. But guess what, THEY DONT CARRY HIS JERSEY!!! It's a special order only.

Really??? TD, who I believe is a defensive captain(?), doesn't have his freaking jersey on sale at the stadium he plays in? But for some reason, they carried Stars jersey, who is a rookie.

If this message could somehow make it to the Panthers front office, that would be great. This team needs to show him the respect that he deserves.

That is all.

Back before TD injured his knee they had his and Lucas jerseys on sale for $25. I thought long and hard then made the wrong choice. I ended up giving my Lucas jersey away to a Chinese exchange student friend who still wears it proud back in China. I guess for that reason it still turned out okay.

NFL store has the entire team.  Grab your Fua now, before they sell out!!!

Those aren't Nike jerseys though, they are special "made for NFL Shop" jerseys. They won't have the Nike logo on them, and aren't made by Nike (not sure who makes those). Perhaps you don't care, but just be aware you're not buying a $100 Nike Game Jersey - you're buying something else entirely.

Edit: They call it their "Pro Line"

From the Mike Tolbert Pro Line jersey description:

The official Carolina Panthers Pro Line NFL® jersey is manufactured on behalf of NFL Shop and is not manufactured by Nike®. The Pro Line NFL® jersey is only sold through NFL Shop. The Pro Line NFL® jersey is crafted with polyester premier mesh and designed with printed front and back numbers, letters, and logos. The Nike® logo does not appear on this jersey.
