Why is our stadium designed to dump rain water on fans?

I will tell you what, I was not at the game, but I do not think it would have even bothered me. I there watching my Carolina Panthers play, and every single inch of the stands could have been filled with water, but once Cam threw the TD pass to Hixon, even the water couldn't have contained me. Much respect to all those fans that stayed to cheer our guys to victory, they got what they wanted with you all being there, we got what we wanted with a win over the Aints. The water was added bonus.,.lol

The stadium has been flooded like that 3 times. There was a game in the 90's where the water in the lower bowl backed up 3 rows. It was over the seats in the 1st row. After that they made changes so the water would drain faster to the field. It wasn't so bad yesterday considering the monsoon rain.

The field itself actually withstood the heavy rain very well especially for a grass field. If it had been Pittsburgh, they would've been playing in mud.

That first game was against Tampa Bay. One of their last years in the creamsicle uniforms and it ended up being a 25-0 shutout or something like that. Fun game.
