If you want to believe Cam will never have the accuracy of Peyton Manning, that's fine - but don't couch that opinion as "that's because he's a Favre Gunslinger!", because there aren't Favre Gunslingers or Manning Accurate Passers...

Plus how you can look at a guy 3 years in and decide his accuracy is never going to be elite is beyond me...

Saying he's never going to be as pinpoint accurate as someone like Brady doesn't equate to saying he can never improve.

Favre got a lot better over time, but it didn't stop him from having a certain amount of wildly off target throws per game.

Dissecting style of play isn't the same as judging quality.

Marino was much more of a gunslinger than even Favre and had a career completion pct shy of 60%.

 

Marino was risky as fug with the ball, too.  Dude would fire into triple coverage.

 

he was accurate as all hell, though, so it all depends how you define gunslinger.

 

I don't really use accuracy as a measure of it, though, more how careless someone is with the ball.

Get Cam a 6'5 receiver and this problem goes away, at least for one target.

A lot of times Cam has enough time and still holds the ball. Why? Nobody open.

And many times he doesnt see the open guy because he is getting flushed. You can never go wrong with an improved line.

The problem here is this team nor this fanbase has seen or been privey to the development of a franchise QB. Or has watched a franchise QB on a game to game basis.

People sit here and think Peyton, Rodgers, Brees, Brady always throw perfect passes, with great mechanics and reading the defense perfect everytime.

But if you've watched them like you watched Cam. Every pass from every game you would notice no QB is perfect all the time.

No QB has perfect mechanics in a dirty pocket. No QB plays well being hit or sacked 5 or more times a game.

A lot of the great QB get help at least twice a game from a WR making a great catch on a inaccurate pass.

Example Brees twice was inaccurate when passing to Graham. Graham just out jumped somebody and makes a play.

We see every pass Cam has made and since we only watch highlights of the other QB's. So we nit pick Cam

When we haven't watched all the bad throws these guys make.

But being a risk taker will tend to lower your pct. His was pretty low he just happened to throw a million times a game.

Fix that and Cam's mechanics, accuracy, receivers and big play potential will all immediately improve

Here's a question how many people here wouldn't right now trade Cam's weapons and Oline now for what Brady or any other top 10 QB is working with?

There are some bottom 10 QB working with better weapons then Cam.

There is no real reason to lock in to a position to draft in December. That will shake out when the draft is unfolding.

Yeah people need to ease up on the questioning of everything. There were circumstances yesterday(rain, cam being injured),  that allows for a little less criticisms.
