What's wrong with the offense? (serious thread)

Lets cut this "benching Cam nonsense" here an now

 

Would you bench Stafford after he has thrown away game repeatedly?

Would bench Tannehill for looking woefully ineffective against Buffalo?

Would you bench Sam Bradford who has look straight up pitiful at St Louis?

 

What the hell are people on??? You don't sit a franchise qb just because his ankle is gimp and you "want a shot in the arm"

 

That is the recipe for failure and it is how you destroy qbs in this league.

 

My only thought was maybe to sit him in the 4th quarter....based on his poor play.  Not bench him for the next game.

 

I am glad I was wrong.  I just saw an offense that was out of synch and a QB who was really struggling.  Sometimes it is just not your day, no matter how big a star and stud you are.

I understand how you may feel that way, Cam didn't play his best but...

 

You do not bench a 3rd qb in this situation, win-lose or tie

 

it is a recipe for destroying a qb's confidence and if we didn't make the playoffs if Cam got benched

Same thing that was wrong with it in the preseason, like many of us tried to tell you dumb fugs. Sad that you guys are all shocked, the writing has been on the wall. Plus it doesn't help that Cam is the only offensive player drafted since 2011 that plays.

Cam looks the best in the hurry up, I love seeing him run it, but that's not the type team that we have built here.

 

We are a ball control offense, with a stifling D.  That's great, but that's not who your QB is.  If we could figure out how to open and close this O a little better, I don't think that we can be stopped.

 

If we have to come back from two scores down, do you have faith in Shula?

I think they can still put more nohuddle in at times when the offense is stalling or just put the defense on their heels. Not saying all the time because obviously with our D we want to control the clock. Cam gets into a rhythm better using it. So really hope that using some uptempo in spots becomes  a part of the game plan for the playoff run.

I think part of it is playing against 3-4 defenses. Cam(and the team) just seem to struggle against 3-4 defenses since he has been here. Peyton used to have the same problem(not saying Cam is Peyton just pointing out a great qb with the same problem). I don't get why it is such a problem for the team but that is definitely part of the issue.
