DeAngelo Williams appreciation thread.

I think Shula gets confused about how to use his RBs. I think he could get more out of the run game if he played to there strengths more.

Tolbert should be used more between the tackles....too much Williams there. They also need to work in more passes to the flat for Williams and use that as a run play (not have it be a late check down Cam never gets to).

He's done all we've asked him to do, I can't complain. He's over 1,000 total yards for the season (810 rushing, 258 receiving), hasn't fumbled since week 1, and has more than made up for that game by giving us crucial touchdowns against the Niners, Jets, and Saints... and call me crazy, but I don't think it would be out of the question for him to get close to 1,000 rushing yards given we play in a dome next week and won't have our top receiving threat. He's still a genuine home-run threat and the only one we have besides Ted Ginn. Heck, I'd argue he's been far less of a boom-or-bust back this year given he's averaging 4.3 YPC but has only had two runs longer than 25 yards.

CRA sees what he wants to see. He only use numbers when it fits his bogus narrative. Gotta love CRA.

You see what you want.....

That wasn't a Williams diss.

Williams and Stewart are both better RBs when they don't share.

When Stewart is healthy, Williams isn't a more productive RB. He may get the ball more and have more yards. That is just one getting more opportunities.

Both are about equal in terms of production despite being different RBs.

Too sensitive about 34. Everything taken as disrespect even when it doesn't exist

Did I say it was a diss? I made a statement about you picking and choosing to use numbers when it fits your narrative. That is what you do. After one fumble in the opening game you throw out some numbers to fit your bogus narrative that DeAngelo is fumble prone. When Stewart had that fumble against San Fran I didnt hear nothing from you tho. That is what you do. Has nothing to do with anybody being sensitive about anybody. When anybody has anything remotely positive to say about DeAngelo you reply to that comment with a negative one. There are many posters who are critical of DeAngelo on here but noone replies to positive posts about DeAngelo with negative feedback as you do. That is just being real. Nothing about sensitivity. To say Stewart has been as productive as DeAngelo has been is just nonsense. I am talking about the last 2 years since signing his contract. When he was given the ball and featured last season was he more productive? When he was given the ball and featured against Tampa this season was he mire productive? DeAngelo had 50+ yards on 8 carries against that same ball club with a 20+ yard score. See, you seem to ignore those numbers tho. Last year when DeAngelo was reinserted in the lineup and start being productive again you dismissed it because of lousy competition. That is what you do. It's all good. Merry Christmas CRA

Yes, you implied it was a diss

No, I didn't knock Williams

and my post about was a reply about WHY someone claimed you should cut Stewart. I disagreed with the reasoning or better the wording used.

Too sensitive and about 34. In fact I have predicted big games from him this year and praised him as recently as prior to the NO game for the way he ran against the Jets.

RBs are RBs. A healthy Williams or Stewart? We just need one....bc if a healthy one gets 20 touches one isn't better than the other overall (just different backs). As I said in my post....Stewart is a walking injury waiting to happen.... I like THAT reasoning if you want to dump him.

Merry Christmas
