You guys are morons if you get your hopes up for the #1 seed, likely will lose to Atlanta

It was a fun ride today watching the Cardinals beat the Seahawks, but there is NO chance in hell of the Seahawks dropping two in a row to end the season at home. The Seahawks have the loudest stadium in North America, there is no way a team led by Kellen Clemens beats the Seahawks.

But here's a bigger and more pressing issue: this is the definition of a trap game for the Panthers this week. We saw what happened after the 49ers and Patriots games on the road against the Dolphins. This whole fan base and this entire team treated today like the Super Bowl. They know the playoffs are coming. Meanwhile, the Georgia Dome has been the worst place in the NFL for us to play traditionally and stopping us from a 2 seed is the only thing the Falcons have left to play for. ALL this plus it's likely that 89 doesn't play.

In fact, I'm so convinced the Panthers won't win the #1 seed that I'll donate $100 to charity if they do. It would be a nice story, but I just don't see it happening.

You're really gonna do this to yourself again?

Sure it would be cool DecrypticShadow, but this is literally Kellen Clemens vs. Richard Sherman. I mean come on, how could the Seahawks possibly lose?

How could a caterpillar turn into a butterfly???? How could a bear sleep for consecutive weeks??? How could Zod allow you to continue to make threads after some of the doozies you have purged on these boards??

ANSWER: Somehow, it just happens.....

Unless the powers that be in the NFL let us play an extra game. We will not get the #1 seed. You cannot wish our loss to the Hawks away with magic mumbjumbo.

12-4 South Division Champs, with the #2 seed is what we are playing for. atl is not going to stand in our way. Kids and reta..., you have to feel for them.

You know there is a CHANCE that the falcons would rather see us successful over the saints.  They might be willing to help us out. Theres a lot of bad blood between the Panthers and Falcons, but I'd wager that everyone in the NFC South hates the saints most.  The blatant cheating with bounty gate, all around dirty play, horribly obnoxious fans, a quarterback that's pampered by the refs and his pretty climate controlled dome and an arrogant pill popping coach.

Our team is full of old school rough and tough bastards that punch you in the mouth and have clawed our ways up from irrelevance.  That earns a lot of respect in the NFL by coaches and players.

This is possibly the worst statement that has ever appeared on the huddle. Do you prohibit yourself from being happy? We will kick atlantas ass.

Honestly everytime SMF makes a thread we all cringe at something great happens for this team.  At this point I'm sure he's just making poo up as a superstitious ritual.

Keep it up SMF!  You will be battered and belittled by many a fan, but if it works DONT FIX IT!  I never wear my panthers hat during games, its bad voodoo.
