Now that I've seen highlights, the winning pass to Hixon was ALL thanks to Bowling Ball. He chipped Jenkins (I think) at the last second, giving Cam time to throw it. Had Tolbert not done that Cam WOULD have been sacked. Go back and watch.

I actually wonder how much of it was by design though? Was he on the injury report this week? I know he had a knee and ankle issue heading into last week IIRC. Maybe he was banged up?

Then again, we hit him with some horrible passes in the flats leaving him to get lit up immediately a few different times, but other than those, I don't even remember him being in the game that often.

Cam was not positioned to run or scramble in the latter part of this game...........Tolbert was used in a blocking role to aid Cam.

 

The last play for a TD is a sack on Cam if Tolbert didn't slide the Saints pass rusher past Cam.

 

I'm not defending Shula but there may be more to what happened with our offense that meets the eye today.

I would like to see what Shula can do with a full stable/more weapons..but I'd hardly be opposed to an upgrade.
